YAY! I had another good painting weekend… WOOT!
And though she tried to fight me… I managed to almost finish my Okapi Unicorn!
All she needs final stripe detailing and shading. 😀 I think she’ll be for sale when she’s done… not sure yet if I want to keep her or not…
And… finally finished… Romeodanny’s Palomino!
Just can’t decide if she needs bling in her mane and tail or not. I still have a few crystals… anyone else have an opinion? Romeo and I are both indecisive! 😆
The only crystals I have are clear… last time I went Michael’s didn’t have any other color…
Might go and check again this week… need to go anyway. 😀
Hmmm I don’t know about clear. They would add some sparkle, but you wouldn’t really see them against the light colored mane. Now if you could find them in a different color…..
I really like the Opaki uni. Are you going to paint her tail or do anything with the bottom of her legs?
And as far as the bling goes…I say yes, but I also agree maybe a color might look better.

Yeah…s o far her legs and mane and tail are just painted white.
I’m going to go back in with grey pastels and add some shading in there so they aren’t so stark…
Also… I have yet to paint the black markings onto her forelegs… and more detailed striping into her hindquarters…
She still has a bit to go… but Is hould be done with her soon. 😀
I think I will go to Michael’s and look for other colors of crystals… I think everyone’s right… they need to be a different color… otherwise they’ll just fade into the mane and tail…

Oooh, very nice! If you added crystals, I would add either gold/topazy type crystals, clear ones, or maybe a blue or blue-green of some sort.
good luch with finding crystals….all I can find are flat backed ones…
and the pointed backed ones are too expensive….but I can only find those online….
