So yeah i finally got my paypal working and I decided to pick up one of those cute little paint your own muses. I blame my best friend for getting me addicted to the damn things, but yeah I’ve been skimming the forums when she shows me all the beautiful work you’ve all done and I hope to show you mine when it’s done but I’m not sure what the best theme would be if any of you have any good ideas to throw at me go ahead I’m kind of a novice at scupture painting. 😉
if it’s your first time painting…..sticking with one or two colors would prolly be best….but since it’s a muse….try antiquing on it too…cause you can’t mess up a muse….hehe
yeah I kinda thought of maybe mixing a blue with white pearl for most of it and then going over that with other colors I like the shiny flourescent look and it makes it smoother looking too I’m thinking maybe some sort of asian design since i’m into asian culture it might work out pretty good

Ooo congrats! I have my first muse still sitting unpainted on the shelf…I keep checking online but the art place still hasn’t shipped the stuff I ordered last month 🙁

when I paint I usualy pick a natural theme..like nature,whaether, gems,rocks,elements, and so on..then pick one or a few colors i feel expresses that theme the best. it’s ok to stair at your pyo and think on it for a few days.
one color is the easier to work with, and use different shades of that color. by the time you feel comfortable with it, maybe another color in different places will help enhance it and make it look nice. It is all up to you and how you feel. what ever you do, have a bit of a plan, it will make painting it a lot easier then just randomly picking colors for your first pyo.
