**** SOLD ****
With all the Windstone stuff on Ebay, multiple forum members selling their collections, and retired inventory from stores being listed, I can’t imagine there is much money left for anyone to spend. However, I thought I should at least post here before putting him up on Ebay in case someone was looking for a Ruby Scratching Dragon at less than retail.
MIB, hangtag still attached. I only took it out of the box to photograph him a couple of times. The exterior of the original box is a tad beat up because he was shipped in it. Pictures of him in natural lighting:
Indoor and possibly with flash 😕 :
He’s in beautiful condition. I’m just looking to sell because I don’t like multiples of the same sculpt, and I really think I’d like the scratcher in either old brown or B &G better. The Ruby is a little too intense for my tastes.
This is the one I got from Watergazer so I’m only looking to ask what I original paid to get her to my home, which was about $105.00. This doesn’t include the cost to ship to the buyer’s home, which will depend on location and preferred shipper. It will be double boxed. I’d rather have payment made by Money Order, but Paypal is acceptable as well.
Send me a PM if interested or if you have any questions. I’ll keep this post up for a day or two. Continue to have a great weekend 🙂

July 28, 2007 at 9:39 pm #603917AUGH and I just bought one, too… ;_;

-J R R TolkienJuly 28, 2007 at 10:55 pm #603918The ruby scratcher is just gorgeous and one of my favorite pieces. If I didn’t have one I’d pick him up in a heartbeat. And I don’t even like ruby! 🙂

My art: featherdust.comJuly 29, 2007 at 1:09 am #603919How much of the pinkish color does he have? I love the intense red but hate the purple-pink shading so I’m trying to get them without that color or with as little as possible. I like him from the pics!

Not much pink, but I haven’t compare him to another Ruby Scratcher so I’m not sure how much pink they usually have. He isn’t free of pink. I think the last picture does a decent job of highlighting his pink areas: a little on his snout, a little in the curl of his tail, a little near the edge of his wings, and on his “itchy” spot 😆 Also looks like there might be a little on the inside of his non display side ear. I’d have to take him out and give him a closer look to see if there are other areas not captured by the camera.
July 29, 2007 at 1:48 am #603921Hmmmmm….I’m tempted….lemme think on it… 🙂

From what I can tell, it looks like yours doesn’t have much pink (compared to some). He’s very pretty.

I agree, he is very pretty! I think he is much more beautiful than I ever thought he would be since I wasn’t really fond of the Ruby color before I saw him. I don’t want to give him up! However, he definitely isn’t getting the proper love from me since the few times I attempted to display him, he only lasted a minute or two because he’s just to intense for my personal taste. I kept him for so long because I kept hoping I’d find a way to display him with the proper surroundings so that the boldness wouldn’t bother me so much, but I just never seemed to find a way. I finally decided it wasn’t fair to keep him locked up in a box any longer. He deserves better than that. I felt guilty 😳 Yeah, yeah, I know it’s silly but I can’t help it. So, hopefully he gets a new home with someone who will appreciate him far more than I ever could.
July 29, 2007 at 2:48 am #603925Update. I think I have a serious buyer so he might be sold. I’ll post if anythings changes and if he becomes available again. Thank you everyone who looked at and considered him. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂
July 29, 2007 at 2:56 am #603926If you don’t have a buyer after all, let me know….I don’t usually get multiple colors of the same pose…but I like him alot.
I have the Peacock and Black and Gold and I certainly like the Black and Gold much better then the Peacock…..I think I like the Ruby better than the Peacock also.
Though…I have broken my multiple rule with the curlies, coileds, royal hatchers, flegies and OW’s….
Some Windstones you just gotta have in every color especially OW’s
July 29, 2007 at 11:52 am #603927Congrats on the fast sale, Lokie – and to whoever’s taking the scratcher home.

I will definitely let you know if the sale doesn’t go through.

Yes, I’m certain I’ll end up with a few sculpts with multiple colors like the gryphon chicks and curlies/coils. In fact, I’d love to have a small army of different colored gryphon chicks.
