Because… well, you see, I bought an Alucard (anime character from Hellsing) figurine and I’ve already broken off his tie. I’m not sure if I ought to try melting it back on, or just hold out for some kind of uber glue… Any ideas?
Super glue can be more brittle than the original vinyl and prone to breaking but if it’s a display piece it should be fine. I prefer the little tubes of “stix on contact” that say it’s for plastic and stuff….works great on the kid’s broken toys at our house. 8)
Hmm, thanks for all the input! It sounds like superglue will work. I was thinking maybe epoxy. As for brittleness, that shouldn’t be much of a problem unless he gets into another battle with Father Andersen.
Oh, and I hadn’t even thought of the fact that glue might “eat” the vinyl. O.O Thanks for pointing that out!
I would use my Revell model glue on that. I can’t give you any specifics on it, though, except that I used it for gluing plastic jet models together. Otherwise there;s the option of instant glue (Sekundenkleber; not sure what it’s called here in the States).
