I'm going to be sick! Please sign this petition BAN FUR!

I’m going to take your word about the video. I don’t want to see it. I don’t have to. I’ve thought for a long time that fur looks best on the animals, not on us.

I signed too! It’s terrible how heartless the people who would do something like that to a defenceless animal are.

Not to start a fight or anything, but videos like that typically show only the worst of the worst. You can find similar videos about animals killed for human food, which urge people to stop eating meat under the assumption that all animals killed for food are tortured before they die! This is hardely so. As with any industry that involves animals, there will ALWAYS be those that opporate cleanly and humanely, and then there will be those like the place in that video. I for one do not support banning fur just because SOME places do not opperate humanely. Same as I will not stop eating meat or eggs just because SOME places do not treat their food-animals humanely. If you are concerned about where your fur comes from, you can always just switch to buying fur products from wild-killed animals or ones that were farm-raised in the US. The US has standards for animal treatment far beyond what you will see in a place like china. While it may not always be followed (like any rule) it certainly has a much better chance of being followed than a similar law or regulation in China! I tend to like fur over synthetics as it is much warmer. I do not wear it for fashion, but for function. In northern climates, all they use is fur. If you choose not to wear fur, I respect that, but please do not beleive the first gorey video that comes your way. It will likely have been created by an Animal Rights org anyway. Their goal is not only to end all animal consumption and use, but to also end the keeping of all pets!

Personally, I see using fur to keep me warm as being no different than eating meat when I am hungry.
