I’m not sure who to adress this too, but I have a suggestion – Since the “I just bought” and “show off your Windstone collection” threads are so constantly in use and so huge, maybe they could be turned into their own little forums? I think they would be used as regularly as the rest are…and we could each post our own celebretory topics again, in an appropriate place, and they would be more seen than they are in the threads…
Just thought I’d throw it out there."He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom."

-J R R TolkienJune 20, 2007 at 5:26 am #590899I honestly am a little puzzled why folks here think that a huge thread is some kind of problem.
Maybe it’s that I spend time on other forums where it’s normal to have threads reach several hundred pages long.
But… what benefit would we get from having these threads as separate forum sections? I’m not trying to put down your idea, I just personally don’t understand what’s wrong with the way things are now.
June 20, 2007 at 5:34 am #590900I kinda like it how it is, too. I think two more new forums would be a bit too much. I like how our topics are broken down, though I must say… the new introduction forum was inspired.
June 20, 2007 at 9:27 am #590901I guess I just find it easier to deal with lots of different topics rather than super long threads…Just a personal preference. Plus it seems to me that new threads are more visible and attention getting that new posts in an already long existing thread. The new introductions forum was what made me think of this…anyway, it was just an idea.

-J R R TolkienJune 20, 2007 at 12:23 pm #590902I can see Arlla’s point about new subforums. But personally I like the long threads. It’s nice and concise.
June 20, 2007 at 1:49 pm #590903I can see both sides- but I don’t want to make a bajillion forums if the majority doesn’t want it. SO! WE VOTE! 😆
If it passes vote, I’ll ask Melody and company. They have final say (not me!).

June 20, 2007 at 3:29 pm #590906i’m undecided. I can see the vallue of both also.
June 20, 2007 at 3:38 pm #590907I don’t care either way.
June 20, 2007 at 3:39 pm #590908This is probably not very feasible, but it would be nice to have a gallery or area for links to pics for each user’s collection. That way if we are trying to find pics of Ski’s spectral (for example), we don’t have to try to remember what page of which “show your collection” thread it was. Just a thought.
June 20, 2007 at 3:46 pm #590909I vote for more shorter threads :X I love to see people’s new Windstones and collections, but egads, I just don’t have the time to look through threads that long. :X

I like that idea.

Aye to that. Better than the extra forum idea 🙂
