I’m posting this as I’ve been asked to cease and desist all repaints of any sort of windstone…no matter what color. I’m trying to keep this short as I’m kinda in tears, sorry.
I’m not sure…I’ll have to do the one’s I already have but here I am surrounded by around $980 worth of broken dragons and not allowed to do much with them. What a sucky way to end a vacation.
I probably won’t be collecting any more or painting any more….the repaints were funding my collection and getting more pyos…I can’t afford windstones anymore… 😥
I don’t understand… It’s not like you are telling people that they are mint condition OOAK peices by windstone. You let them know that they are repaired repaints done by you. Why would anyone have any reason to complain about you. And windstone shouldn’t care since they already got their money for that peice, when it’s becomes yours it’s yours to do with as you please.
I wasn’t told, which is fair I suppose. It hurts though, it was my earth dragon repaint that got me the complaint though….right as I was doing a scratcher in that color too….damn. 😥
I’m really sorry. Your work is beautiful. I understand why Windstone would have to respond to the complaint and I know this has been a tricky area from the beginning. I just can’t believe someone complained. Your auctions were very clear that these were damaged and repaired pieces. Personally, I think it’s great that you (and others) are willing to take the time and effort to repair pieces that might otherwise end up in the trash. I guess it is the selling that is the problem. Will you repair the pieces for your own personal collection?
It upsets me horribly because I only work with damaged or broken pieces…the fact that they’d rather have them broken and possibly in the garbage than painted by me is what hurts…I love all the possibilities sitting there in a sculpt waiting for the airbrush. Seeing a broken piece made whole again and in a special color so it can be re-enjoyed all over again….I’m still in tears…
