well decided to post pics of Aurora whom is the largest pain in my butt, but i love her anyway lol..shes a pure bred 3 year old german shepherd that i rescued from the shelter here, she was going to be put down..she had kennel cough and ring worm and was 10 pounds underweight she is agressive to other dogs and doesnt like people approaching me who she doesnt know, on the other hand..she loves our cats.
June 6, 2007 at 12:38 am #491336June 6, 2007 at 12:46 am #585316Thank you! Thank you for adopting her and loving her and taking care of her.
I rescue Miniature Pinschers and I have 9 unwanteds plus an unwanted Dachshund (her momma had to go to nursing home and then passed away…the family didn’t want her or her momma…so sad)
I also have a number of unwanted cats and two kittens. I walk around asking people I just met if they want a kitten 🙂 They think I’m nuts and they are probably right!!! I am also offering free shots and spay/neuter on any animals that I can give away!
I also have 5 unwanted sugar gliders and 2 hedgehogs that I actually purchased….
But, hey, they are all actually wanted by a nut like me….because they all deserve to be loved….
SOOO HOORAY FOR YOU FOR ADOPTING THIS POOR FELLA!!!!
God gives a special place in heaven to all those people who take care of his creatures!!!!!
Or if you believe in Karma….what goes around comes around and you will have good things happen to you for helping out innocent creatures!
PS Don’t leave the cats alone with her, she looks like Belle my German Shepherd who ATE one on my Min pins…..be careful, if she is dog aggressive then she will be all critter aggressive without supervison.
June 6, 2007 at 1:20 am #585317Aurora’s beautiful, Draco! I so want a German Shepherd. Dinky house and small yard says no to any of the dogs I’d like.
I admire anyone who adopts any abandoned soul (whether animal or child).
Keschete, you’re kidding about your Shepherd EATING a minpin… aren’t you? That’s horrifying! *shudders*
It’s your turn to take pics tho! You have to share your zoo with us! (especially the hedgehogs.. I love them!) Or did I miss them somewhere?June 6, 2007 at 1:24 am #585318Awww!! I love her big ears! ^_^ I’m glad she went from a ‘broken’ doggie to a ‘superglued and repainted’ doggie! She seems very sweet, despite he protectiveness. Although can you blame her? You saved her life, she owes you her love and loyalty ^_^ She is very beautiful too…I hve never seen a mostly black GS.

June 6, 2007 at 1:39 am #585320very cool Dracomancer!
Any doggy that likes cats is OK by me, no matter what other conditions!June 6, 2007 at 2:17 am #585321Maebnus3 wrote:you’re kidding about your Shepherd EATING a minpin… aren’t you? That’s horrifying! *shudders*

Or did I miss them somewhere? Here is my crew…some adopted, some still with us and some passed over the rainbow bridge….yes, my german shepherd was jealous and ate a min pin puppy. Horrible, but valuable lessons in having a pack like I do. That happened a long time ago and I haven’t had any trouble in about 7 or 8 years. Makes you a better pack leader….
Ohh and the puppies all came to me with the mommas who were in animal shelters..I do not breed dogs…all got special homes 🙂

Thanks! Lord, that’s a lot of dogs. Good for you to be able to take care of so many, plus other critters!

I have the word SUCKER tattooed on my forhead!!!! Those pics represent about a tenth of the animals that have passed though in one year. I rehabbed wildlife from 1987 to 1995 and then just did cats and dogs since.
I have never less than about 20 animals….
But I don’t want to hijack this thread! sorry!
Congrats on the beautiful Shepherd and bless you for taking in this wonderful animal…..
June 6, 2007 at 3:31 am #585324Nice dog, Draco. Thank you for rescuing her. 😀
June 6, 2007 at 3:36 am #585325we currently have more then 20 animals in the house lol and all i have to say is it can be a real pain to keep it clean sometimes..especially with the dog trying to chase and play with the cats whom riqochet off of everything..including the ceiling fan-_-
June 6, 2007 at 3:51 am #585326very nice pics just give her LOVE and she will be fine
June 6, 2007 at 3:55 am #585327She is very pretty. That is so nice that you took her in and gave her a good home. I used to raise persian cats, but now the only cats I have (2) are foundlings.
June 6, 2007 at 9:22 am #585328Beautiful baby, Dracomancer. Bright Blessings to you for taking in so many animals. You, too, keschete. Wish I could help you out by taking another kitty. 9 is such a nice round number. lol
