Rescued from a shelter in IL. She is 7-8 years old right now, and just about all the canine I can handle..

I know Keeshonds can come in a sandy color, but most are solid grays. 🙁 Now I miss our old Keeshond Spike. He loved to smile at the meter man! We had to put him down in 1994. He was 14 years old and couldn’t move anymore. This was him in 1983.

My girl is actually all or mostly dog. Husky and GSD mixed.The Keeshond could be pure, but we think chances of that are pretty low. We don’t know what else she would be mixed with, but we joke that it is beagle, because she bawls like one instead of barking, and she loves to hunt everything! Really though, we don’t know.
Her colors remind me of a German Shephard. Spike was a pure bred (I think), but he was big for the breed. He stood well over the 17/18 inches they are supposed to be and weighed 60-70 pounds rather than the normal 35-45.

Much nicer than the über-scary wolfdog I saw once down the street from me. Never seen him since, but he was huge(!), and I would’ve run like hell if even just glared at by that one.

What a gorgous dog, my husband second’s the theory she is part wolf, and so do I.
It’s the ears and head shape, along with her general build.
Beautiful dog though.
