Thanks for posting that link. I have never seen that picture before. I didn’t know there were so many early sculpts that I haven’t seen. I wonder how many pieces are still in existence? Does anybody here have any of them (aside from the dragons/dinosaurs)?

Most of the stegs and trics we see are from a re-issue I believe, the only animal on that list I have ever see come on ebay was the armadillo, and LIH would have to tell you what he went for. They also had some of the bobcats in the werehouse that they auctioned of a years or so a go.
I am not even sure if any of the original dragons have popped up.

I’ve been watching eBay for Windstone stuff for some years now, and though I do miss things from time to time, I have only ever seen the following pop up under a “windstone” search:

An armadillo (a forum member got him!)
A white owl* (Vantid got him then resold him I think)
A bobcat that Vantid won (I can’t remember if she resold him or not)
The Bobcats that Windstone found and sold direct,

and of course the momma dragon, hatchling, and dino sculpts, though I believe that these very first ones are different in coloration than the ones that we’ve seen.

I have NEVER seen any of the other ‘normal’ animal sculpts either here or on eBay. They are exceedingly rare and are likely to be mis-listed (as in not listed as Windstones) if they ever end up on eBay.

I got the brown owl of ebay….and it had missing toes….I fixed it up…and after a while had to resell it…

I’m not sure who got it…but I got about what I bought it for…

Okay so you got a different one than the one Vantid had! Neat! She had one of the very rare white ones that Melody only painted a few of for a promo of the movie Labyrinth back in the 80s. 🙂

                    I think I have a picture of the one I had….somewhere…
