I was having some issues over the weekend so my doctor had me come in for an ultrasound. He said everything looked fine but its too early to really see anything. My husband has been saying all week we are having a shrimp but when he saw the ultrasound he now says we are having a caviar π All I could see is a little bubble but I’m glad the doctor said everything was ok because I was starting to worry.
May 22, 2007 at 5:14 pm #491080May 22, 2007 at 5:18 pm #579543π Your hubby is funny. I’m glad everything seems to be all right!
May 22, 2007 at 5:35 pm #579544That’s good news. I must say I was little worried this weekend when you said you were on bed rest. Glad to hear everything is okay. π
May 22, 2007 at 5:36 pm #579545So glad for you!!! Take it easy and keep us posted!!
May 22, 2007 at 5:38 pm #579546I’ve never been pregnant before so I don’t know what to expect. I just know everyone says bleeding is not good and when I called my doctor they said to take it easy. I thought OMG I’m only 5 weeks along and I’m already having to take it easy!! Today after seeing me he said everything was fine and sometimes bleeding is normal in some women so at least my mind is at ease. My blood pressue was sky high when I went in today but they said it was stress that brought it up. Mine is usually 98 systolic and it was 140 when I came in π―
May 22, 2007 at 5:47 pm #579547I’ve got three kids…but we lost our first one…I found that the first three months were really hard but you can relax a little after that…it was alot easier up until the last month when you’re wishing the darn kid would arrive so you could move around without waddling and pee normally again but the first three months are when I really babied myself…I lost our first baby when I was 2 and 1/2 months because I was loom-weaving and it’s miserably hard on your lower back (my boss was a snot and said he’d had another pregnant lady loom-weave til she was 9 months, so I should too)…..My next three pregnancies I knew better. As long as you don’t do anything that hurts or feels like it’s straining yourself you’ll probably be ok.
May 22, 2007 at 5:57 pm #579548purplecat, that guy sounds like such a jerk. i hope he got what was coming to him.
purpledoggy, i am glad you are doing ok. take some tension tamer tea to relax. π
May 22, 2007 at 6:01 pm #579549I hope so too….I came in after the miscarraige and said, “I lost the baby, next time listen to your employees…I quit.” I’ve never been there since or seen him…I hope he still has guilt issues.
May 22, 2007 at 6:30 pm #579550Glad to hear everything is going well purpledoggy!!*Knocks on Wood* If you can try and pick up a copy of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” It’s the one thing besides Pre-natal Vitamins that my doctor “Perscribed” for me.
Purplecat, you mean that at 5 months I shouldn’t already be waiting for the next 4 months to be over? I mean it’s driving me batty that I’m not allowed to do virtually anything!! I’m not allowed to do this, not allowed to do that, and god forbid I lift anything that’s more than 5lbs, everyone around me get’s mad at me or my Male, for Letting me!!! I’m used to lifting and carrying 100-200lbs of furniture, and the doctor says I’m allowed to lift up to 30lbs!! Then my Mom get’s mad at the 2 of us if I don’t do anything and then still if I do!!! ARGHHHH!!
So Purpledoggy I hope you can keep your sanity at not being allowed to do things, better than I!! And once again… Congrats!!!!
May 22, 2007 at 6:43 pm #579551Purplecat is right. Make sure you take it easy. The first 3 mos are the scariest.
May 22, 2007 at 6:44 pm #579552I lift people on stretchers all day. Does that mean I can’t do it anymore?? I soooo don’t want to go on light duty π
May 22, 2007 at 6:46 pm #579553π
No Lifting people!!!
They are definitly over the 30lbs limit!!
Umm maybe you are going to go nuts too!! π― π―
Oh well at least we wont be alone!! πMay 22, 2007 at 7:27 pm #579554And then, there are women like me who didn’t find out they were pregnant until about the 4th month… I had an extremely irregular cycle for the prior 6 months. Didn’t take it easy, didn’t watch anything… 2.5 hours delivery at the end of a workday.
But you listen to your body big time and you’ll be ok. Yeah, I think the only stretcher you should lift is an empty one! Doesn’t want to be light duty… sheesh! π
