I had saved up a while back for the Nintendo Wii, although all those funds had to go to medical bills. Regardless though, every time I go into a Target, Best Buy, WalMart or what-have-you, I always check to see if they even have any consoles I could maybe put on layaway or something and I have yet to see one on a shelf or even the controllers for that matter…so even if I did have the money to jump and buy one, I’d still never have one to this day. Have any of you guys gotten this yet? They still sell them on ebay for upwards of $300+ but who wants to pay more for a console etc.? I had played one before Christmas when a friend brought hers over for a party and got addicted, especially since she had the whole set up with multiple controllers, games, and everything. I even know people who work at Target who can’t get them and never know when they come in.

May 17, 2007 at 5:14 pm #577966We still have unfilled pre-sells here. Then there was one store that accidentally (right) sold some of the pre-sells. They were emailing the other stores begging for some. Unless you are a Manager and you work at a store you won’t get one. (That’s how it works in my store at least.)
Plus they aren’t put out on the shelf, if we have any then they are locked up in the CO until the person that has the pre-sell ticket gets there.
May 17, 2007 at 5:47 pm #577967I have a Wii. My husband and I both love it. My dad got himself a Wii bundle for Christmas and we kidnapped it for 3 months until we got lucky on Walmart’s website one day when they had a bundle in stock. Bundles suck, usually not the best games to choose from… but some are good and it’s the only way I’ve found a console.
The graphics definitely aren’t as amazing as a PS3, but I never thought they would be. It’s definitely a cool way to approach games, though some need some work to make better. The Zelda game is awesome, but I must say I still play Wii Sports daily.
May 17, 2007 at 6:34 pm #577968I have a Wii. Got it on the release date… didn’t sit outside for it though. I’m known as “the Wii guy” for my moms friends because I can always get them a Wii if they want one.
I don’t play games on my Wii though, I just use to it to message my friends. Pretty expensive IM service there 😆 It only took me a week to beat Zelda, Trauma Center, Elebits and Rayman… and so far nothing else out for it is really interesting… I dunno, Bug Island seems pretty corny, enough to possibly buy 😈 Only going to be $30 too when it comes out (or suppose to be, they keep pushing it back. So who knows if they’ll up the price as well). They still don’t have enough Wii’s for demand. It’s going to be like this still for a least another 3 months, if not more…

But there’s a Gamestop in the mall I work at and they have display boxes out with prices. Whether or not they actually have them in stock is a different story since I never really asked.
May 18, 2007 at 3:29 am #577971My son got one too, he loves it we happened upon them one day in wal mart I want one too, but he said when i get zelda we can trade his wii for the 360 until I finish my game, LOL.
May 18, 2007 at 3:33 am #577972i’m not allowed to play consol video games…i play for a scary long time. 😯
May 18, 2007 at 7:07 am #577973One of my friends stumbled across ones at some store or other just after the release date. They are fun! The only time that I could ever beat up some of the guys (boxing)!
May 18, 2007 at 10:48 am #577974My boyfriends brother has a wii. Now we never have to go out bowling again (so much cheaper as well) it is a great game console and gets you fit.
There is also the option of customising your characters called Mii’s. Sometimes I just spend time making extremely funny or down right scary ones!
There is also the option of testing your fitness age. When I first started my age was 80!I Would love an Old Warrior one day.. any Old Warrior!
May 19, 2007 at 4:08 am #577975bowling is probably safer with the wii. no risk of throwing the ball backwards or throwing out your wrist or elbow.
May 19, 2007 at 7:04 am #577976My friend really wanted one but out here to get one you have to know when the stores are getting them in and they will post a sign on the door where the line can start… that’s right you have to do one of those wait in line from like 2am to get one when the store opens at 9.. my friend was there from midnight and she was like 15th in line… she payed $420 for her wii and the game zelda… I don’t understand, how long has it been out… but I do like how you actually have to move to play instead of just sitting in front of a tv…
