I know you said they are just too dang hard to paint, but what about a Mermaid PYO, Garden Sculpture or Gargoyle? Then you wouldn’t have to paint them in all those colors. Just a random thought 8)

May 11, 2007 at 3:04 pm #573966Someone was looking for the Sea Jewel Mermaid. There’s one on ebay right now in Jacques’s store. It’s like $95.

Wouldn’t it just get painted stone color?

I would love to do all sorts of pyos.PYOs are great for that reason! I can do anything and I don’t gotta worry about painting it. However the vision of badly painted mermaids.. eeww. Skin tones are so tough! If you try to paint the skin a solid opaque color, you’ve got a real mess. They really need to be shaded with an airbrush, which not everyone has.

Not by me. 😆 I like color.
May 11, 2007 at 8:12 pm #573970I like color as well. Hmm, I wonder what a colored gargoyle would look like.
May 11, 2007 at 8:13 pm #573971Well, I’d paint a Sentinel-type thing in reds and browns for starters…

I’ve done pretty good skin tones with a paintbrush….
I have an airbrush….but so far….I have no clue how to really use it…
May 11, 2007 at 8:34 pm #573973If a PYO mermaid came out, I’d give painting skin tones a try. But I’d probably give most of my aquatic people blue and green skin. 😆
