Ok, you guys are going to think I’m nuts, but I was just in the pool!!!!
Last weekend, my husband wanted to take off the winter blanket, ’cause it’s ugly. The weather was nice, we took out our patio stuff, and off went the cover. Well, then of course, he plugged everything back in, right? Filled up the pool. Since I had the chemical kit, I figured I might as well open the pool. It’s been so hot this week that the water was at 22 C today! (72?? F) We insalled the stairs to go in, and I have to be in the water for that. Now I’m nice and cool for the rest of the evening!
This weekend is supposed to be a bit cooler, but very sunny, and next week, the temperature will go up again. It’ll be awesome for the long weekend!

May 11, 2007 at 12:38 am #573837Too hot, I can’t sleep at night. I’m so tired. And I’ve been at work all week, in my stuffy, hot little locked room of an office. Sorry, I get grumpy when I’m hot.
Saturdays Coming! 😀 Then I’ll be happy! Yay finally a Saturday off with nice weather. But that does mean working the long weekend. I’ve already figured out that by some fluke I’m working every long weekend this summer. 🙁
May 11, 2007 at 1:35 am #573838It’s hot here too! Gag. It’s hard to sleep. I’m one of those weirdos that can frollic in the 10°F weather but after 80° I start to melt and get sick. The weather patterns and forecast for this summer put it as one of the hottest yet. Worse yet is that we haven’t had rain in nearly 2 months… we’re about to go to level 3 drought.

My art: featherdust.comMay 11, 2007 at 1:53 am #573839We’ve had gorgeous weather lately too! The lilacs just started opening up today! I liked the temperature from two days ago though. It was in the 80s and humidity (I hate that word) crept onto the seen today (we have severe thunderstorms rumbling through). Things start feeling too warm when it’s like that. I can live with a pleasant 75 degrees F and a nice gentle breeze.

You sound about like me. I prefer it cold, under 75, if possible, 60 is better, 10 degrees is nuthin, but over 80 and I start to get melty too. Nice to know I’m not the only one!
May 11, 2007 at 2:43 am #573841I like it warm better. Today was about 80 here and just gorgeous. Tomorrow it may rain. And also on Saturday for my party. 🙁
May 11, 2007 at 3:26 am #573842Itt’s been raining here for the last few days, but the ground needed it. It was warm, though, and all the leaves and flowers are out.

Over here near Savannah it’s a little better. We’ve had somre rain this week and are only on level 2 drought conditions. Though there are the wildfires still going on farther south in the Okefenokee Swamp (no where near Savannah though). The smoke has finally stopped blowing this way thankfully.
May 11, 2007 at 1:59 pm #573844Dang! Its Summer again? That means the forum has been open for almost a year! And I still have no air conditioning. That is one of the things wrong with Germany. 😕 Congrats on the pool! I cant wait to have a pool and patio of my very own. 😀
May 11, 2007 at 3:03 pm #573845This forum’s only a year old? Wow! That makes me feel a little better that I didn’t find it sooner.
Love this spring/summer weather… still wearing jeans in the cool breeze, so it’s perfect. Soon the NM sun will be baking our yard but for now we’ve been eating picnic lunches outside and still able to have tea parties without it seeming too hot.
Although, neighbors got a beehive (which is kinda cool) and my 3 yr old is terrified of bees and won’t stay outside by herself now (though she loves being out). I guess the fear is kinda instinctual, so not sure how to get her over it.May 11, 2007 at 4:13 pm #573846I think we have had our Summer, two full weeks of sun and hitting over 24c!! Thats hot for rainy England.
May 11, 2007 at 4:27 pm #573847Ugh. I wish we had real seasons here. Nothing but hot humid, ick nasty weather. I just went out to my car this morning and it is covered in ashes. You can barely see anything outside thanks to these crazy wildfires!! It’s like a really bad fog that lasts all day long. Stinky too. 😕 Are you having any problems with the wildfires up where you are, Nam?
May 11, 2007 at 5:12 pm #573848must be nice to be able to enjoy summer… LOL
Last night at 10 pm it was 85 (27 C ) today it’s supposed to be about 100 (38 C ) 10 am and it’s already over 90. Our average highs will be around 100 until, hmm, mid September ? Ick.
