My windstone dealer said somebody knocked over a table and broke about 20 windstones! Eek! However, they said they’d sell them to me for cheap. Still waiting on the specific pieces and prices but I’m so excited to try a little repair work. Hoping they’ll sell me the whole batch for a good price. Excited to do repaints!! I can never bear the thought of painting over a perfectly fine windstone but I have no problem with doing it to broken ones. Suggestions on my dragon hospital?

May 3, 2007 at 4:27 pm #57012620!?! That should keep you busy for a while!
May 3, 2007 at 4:56 pm #570127Hopefully they make that person pay for it, depending on what the circumstance is.
May 3, 2007 at 5:44 pm #570128I’ll say. Dragoness is right.
May 3, 2007 at 5:46 pm #570129I hope so too. I’m still excited at the prospect of repair work though. Poor dragons.
May 3, 2007 at 5:48 pm #570130Poor dragons!!! 🙁
May 3, 2007 at 5:59 pm #570131if you do get them, be sure to post photos of what they look like busted up.

If I saw something like that happen, I would cry. I know I would. Even if they weren’t mine and I had no intentions of buying them… I’d cry.
Good luck getting them and fixing them up!
May 3, 2007 at 6:15 pm #570133If it’s too expensive to get all 20, let us know. I’m sure some people would be interest too (me, for instance).
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

If you repaint these, it would be wonderful if you would sign the bottoms and write “repainted by” on them. That will help us keep track of these, and fifty years from now it will help the antique dealers figure out what all these purple Windstones are !
May 3, 2007 at 6:26 pm #570135Turns out she exaggerated (did I spell that right?) and there were only five (sigh). She had me excited….Well, I now have a broken scratcher, hatchling, lap, mother and gargoyle panther (?) on the way. I’ve never seen the panther but I figured I wouldn’t get another chance to get one cheap. She gave me the mother for 60, lap for 100, panther for 17, hatchling for 19 and the scratcher for free (she says he’s bad). I’ll post pics when they arrive!
May 3, 2007 at 7:09 pm #570136Wow! Great deal, even broken. Good luck. I’m looking forward to the photos. The panther gargoyle is on my web site if you want to see it. Windstone is currently out of stock and don’t know if they’re producing more, but I still have the photo up with a message. It’s a “rock” colored one, and on the Gargoyle page.
May 3, 2007 at 7:17 pm #570137I’ll definately label them as repaints!!
