On May 14th, the U.S. Post Office is raising their rates. This means that I will have to raise my shipping rates too. This means that everyone with a current layaway with me will have a larger bump on their last payment to make up for the shipping difference. Unless you pay it off so I can ship it before May 14th. If you would like an invoice for a final payment, let me know right away.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not have a new chart yet of what the postal rates will be, so please don’t PM me to ask. I couldn’t find a new chart on USPS.com, so I have to wait to find that out too. Wolflodge, if you have a chart, could you email it to me? I’ll need to update the web site too.
Also, international shipping is changing completely. There will no longer be Economy shipping. And Global Priority and Airmail are being changed to something else.
I am still doing research on all these things and will let you know any information when I find out.
And now you can go back to your regular programming… beep! 😀
Thanks.

May 3, 2007 at 5:09 pm #570097Thanks for the heads up Emerald, I didn’t know that. I don’t have a chart, I just use their web site. I geuss I will have to recalculate shipping on my layaways too 😕
May 3, 2007 at 5:43 pm #570098As if I wasn’t already paying enough in shipping. 👿
I guess I should pay off my LRD early. Thanks for the heads-up, emerald. If you could send the final invoice – and the new rate chart when it comes out – that would be nice.May 3, 2007 at 5:55 pm #570099dragonessjade wrote:Thanks for the info. I don’t know about shipping on larger packages but a first class stamp will go from 39 cents to 41 cents.
Also in 2007, the U.S. Postal Service will issue the Forever stamp, which will always be valid as First-Class postage on standard envelopes weighing one ounce or less, regardless of any subsequent increases in the First-Class rate.
May 3, 2007 at 5:58 pm #570100Forever stamp is a neat idea. Switzerland should have one of those.

May 3, 2007 at 8:07 pm #570102Yeah my Postal lady gave me a little flier, but it doesn’t say about boxes by the pound or whatnot. I don’t care anyway. It’s not like I have much choice in the matter! 😆
I’ll happily pay the difference Emerald!! I trust you! 😉May 3, 2007 at 9:56 pm #570103pegasi1978 wrote:dragonessjade wrote:Thanks for the info. It would be nice to know what they will be changing it to.
