I know we’ve seen the large pegasus in unfinished form in your gallery, but is there an estimated time he might hit eBay? My drool is becoming a problem on the floor. 🙂
Also, are there any plans to eBay some OOAK or limited production male or female Ki-Rins with different paint jobs? Those are my favorite sculpts and there have been a few paint tests, but nothing for sale. I guess those top my wish-list Windstone dreams. 🙂 Just wondering!!

The large pegasus is circling in a holding pattern. I haven’t worked on him for some time… I still am dithering whether it should be a pyo or a regular thing… hmmm…. anyway, you just gave me an idea about ooak kirins!
April 20, 2007 at 10:39 pm #564823Ooo I know a bunch of people who would like to see that large Pegasus as a production piece (and not just the ones on the forum)
OOAK Ki Rins!! *squeak*
There is also something that I noticed. A ‘Potters Cat’ mold. What is this?
April 20, 2007 at 11:43 pm #564824I asked the same question here.http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1269&highlight=potters+cat

If not a regular production piece, how about limited production?
April 21, 2007 at 12:19 am #564826Limited production like the white pearl griffins? Buy direct from Windstone? 😕

That’s what I was thinking.
April 21, 2007 at 12:57 am #564828Sorry for sounding stupid and asking a dumb question but could someone un-abbrevriate “OOAK” so I know what it stands for? 🙁
April 21, 2007 at 12:58 am #564829One Of A Kind 😉
April 21, 2007 at 4:12 am #564830I think the large Pegasus as a PYO would be cool – but that’s just because I don’t collect the painted hoofers.

Thaaank you! It makes sense now. 🙂
April 21, 2007 at 6:43 pm #564832Ugh, I hate painting!! I cannot afford a custom paint job either. (Plus, I do not entirely like the look of most PYO’s. The paint jobs look fine, but the sculpts themselves IMO lack much of the softness that production pieces have, due to having to be sculpted with extra-crisp details so that the paint will hold and not cover stuff up–some people may like this “crispness” but it just isn’t for me).
I think the large peg should deffinately be done as a production piece, not PYO. Those of us who cannot paint or who cannot afford a custom paint job deserve a chance! I’ve seen what small PYO’s can go for, immagine what you would have to pay for a HUGE custom painted piece! (more than what I can pay) Just the unpainted one alone would probably be more expensive than what a lot of people would be willing to pay for something that they could very well mess up on painting. It’s not that bad if you buy a $30 PYO and the paint job comes out bad, but if you just spent 70, 80 bucks or more for the blank… We are not all master painters like Nam or Jennifer. 😉
April 21, 2007 at 7:49 pm #564833Hmmm, I wonder what a Large Pegasus painted by Nam would look like and go for…
