I was sent this email today but with all of the fakes I’m not sure if it is real. Usually if I get a second chance offer it shows up in my MY EBAY and this offer is not there. In the email it says to just email the seller. The original winner is pipsxlch and I have pmed and email them but have not received a response yet. I would most def love to have this girl if the offer is true. What do you all think?

If it had your EBAY NAME or a ‘dear ebay member’ then it is FAKE! 🙂 Hope that helps.
April 19, 2007 at 9:31 am #564442Ignore the e-mail and directly contact the seller of the item.
April 19, 2007 at 11:56 am #564443When I contacted ebay about the white dragon I got scammed on they said if it doesn’t show up under items in “My ebay” it’s not an authentic offer. Any second chance offer sent to you should show up there.
April 19, 2007 at 1:45 pm #564444Don’t do it if you don’t see it in My Ebay. You’ll lose your money and not get anything.
April 19, 2007 at 1:51 pm #564445Absolutely. If it’s not in your messages in “My Ebay” then it’s fake.
If you’re still not sure if it’s real, forward the email to spoof@ebay.com. They will respond quickly to tell you if the message is legit or not.Volunteer mod- I'm here to help! Email me for the best response: nambroth at gmail.com
My art: featherdust.comApril 19, 2007 at 3:06 pm #564446Sorry, didn’t know you couldn’t see stuff from my email. The email doesn’t say dear ebay member or anything it starts off Ebay sent this message to davidsonkid. “Ebay sent this message on behalf of an ebay member via email.” It says “To reply to this offer please reply to the seller at this address”. Its a hotmail address. Weird thing to is on the auction page it says the seller is in Texas and on the email it says ebay uk co. Well anyways I have emailed the seller direct so I hope to here from them soon. Thanks you guys.

I have been getting a lot of scam e-mail (not ebay) from UK address in the past 2-3 months. I guess it’s the new hot spot for this stuff. Last year it seemed to be the Netherlands.
April 19, 2007 at 3:17 pm #564448What’s the item you’re trying to get, Adara?
April 19, 2007 at 3:19 pm #564449If it was real they wouldn’t be using your ebay name but your real full name. It’s a scam. Don’t do it.

Nevernevernevernevernever click on links in your email that take you to anything that looks like an ebay or paypal page. If they’re real, you can go to ebay.com or paypal.com and log in properly, and the messages will be there in your message box or My Ebay.
I’m with everyone else. If this message has not shown up in your ‘My Ebay’ it’s a scam, and you should not be sending them any money.
I’ve had phishing emails before, but went to paypal.com to check my transactions instead of logging in with the (rather convenient “if you didn’t make this payment, click here” link) and I’m certainly glad I didn’t. They had be going for a split second, but no longer than that.
Be super careful, Adara!

It was the Emerald coiled Mother that was on a few days ago that pipsxich won.
April 19, 2007 at 5:02 pm #564452I had my ebay account nicked once. There was a spoof email sent out and mum logged into it sending the people our password 🙄 Ebay sorted it all out though.
