Hi Everybody,
Though I have fewer Windstones (thanks all ya’ll), I still have a few that need a bit of touch up.
Can you suggest the best way to clean dust, touch up chips/etc on the delicate surfaces?
Maybe some tricks of the trade.
Thanks,
~Safyre~P.S. I’m also interested in the PYO, what kind of paint is most commently used?
April 18, 2007 at 12:08 am #563812Hi! I usually use a very soft rounded paintbrush to dust my stuff, it’s quicker and easier than washing them. As for touch ups, paint pens take care of the gold accents and matching paint colors isn’t that hard for little chips. Acrylic paint should do it (which is also what’s most commonly used for the PYOs), with a gloss varnish if it’s needed. If you’ve got a chunk that needs to be filled in, epoxy putty or really thick plaster might do the job. Good luck!
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
April 18, 2007 at 2:08 am #563813well a really deep cleaning I usually use plain water and Qtips….and then a microfiber cloth…
for touchups you can actually request matching paint for them just email and ask for it…but most you can fix yourself with regular acrylics…
as for PYO…the wolf is the easiest for me to start with…
