Yeah, those are pretty neat. I’ve seen a few of them around. They come in red too, though I like the white version better. Unfortunately they’re not quite as nice in person, as they’re a very thin latex mask, and so quite floppy, which tends to be obvious when worn, the head just sort of flops around when you move. Though I suppose it should be possible to reinforce it somehow for a better result… *ahem* I’ll quit talking shop at you now!
April 15, 2007 at 9:45 am #562350Hahaha! Its ok. I just noticed it when I was browsing for Windstones. I remember Nam made a mask for Halloween and several others on here do the same. I had never seen one. Too bad its a cheap-e cuz it looks pretty nice in the pics.
April 15, 2007 at 3:24 pm #562351I’ve seen that in brown before. It looks neat. Pity the quality isn’t too good.
April 15, 2007 at 7:16 pm #562352My friend got one of those..a red one:

so I painted it! here is how it looks now
Later I want to get another, paint it, cut off the horns and put is some real ones, stuff it, and hang it on the wall.April 15, 2007 at 7:20 pm #562353Cool! And I love your idea of a trophy dragon head. 😀 What kind of horns do you plan on using?
April 15, 2007 at 7:24 pm #562354Eather a species of goat or antelope.
April 16, 2007 at 2:06 pm #562355Yeah.. my husband and I wanted dragon masks but were really disappointed with those ones in person (the photos look awesome). Even with a repaint, the structure of the mask was just not so good, so I ended up making us some quickie masks instead!

I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~
Engaged to a WeaselApril 16, 2007 at 7:13 pm #562357(I’m so wanting to try making a dragon mask with those things, but it’d be a huge pain to wear. Also a huge pain to ship.)
April 16, 2007 at 7:15 pm #562358ok, those are cool.
April 16, 2007 at 7:18 pm #562359I also want to make an evil unicorn using a gemsbok horn. That would be so awesome.
April 16, 2007 at 7:27 pm #562360Woot, I have one of those in red, too. 😀 I bought him for $25 the day after Halloween. Stupid luck I guess. 😛 Strange though, mine isn’t floppy at all… It has foam stuff inside, and it sits quite nicely on the head, though it is a little hard to see out of the neck slits.
April 16, 2007 at 7:33 pm #562361I suspect that there are several companies who have the same mold, so one could get quite a variety of materials in the things…
