So I won 6 of the white dragons that went up on ebay a little while back from snease_axis…The three hatchings, a young, a coiled and a scratcher. I received them today and they reeked of smoke and it sent me into an instant migraine. They are all yellowed too, and only 3 of them had their original boxes. I’m really pissed because the guy said that he had ALL the original boxes, and it said they came from a smoke free environment on all the auctions….I’ve sent him a note, but we’ll see what happens…. 😕 Anyway, just a little rant, and a bit of a warning if you buy or have bought from snease_axis. I will let you know how things turn out as to wether he goes on the “other” list…

March 27, 2007 at 9:48 pm #556259haha. good one.
March 27, 2007 at 9:50 pm #556260Don’t stick him on there yet, I’d like to see what he’s got to say, he’s already replied, and was rather surprised that everything smelled like smoke….He’s been really cool about everything so far, so I doubt he’ll be slated for the cencored list, but I did need to rant =P

March 27, 2007 at 10:16 pm #556262how can you not knowitce it smelt like smoke? (baring illness)

That is really odd. If it smelled strong enough to give Nirvana a headache then someone on the other end should have at least noticed that the pieces weren’t completely odor-free… 😕
March 27, 2007 at 11:12 pm #556264Well, some people really do have a very poor sense of smell, and since they’ve lived like that their whole life they are not really aware of the lack.
Also, many smokers become so immune to that particular odor that they don’t even smell it anymore.
March 27, 2007 at 11:16 pm #556265Plus if they are smokers they would never have noticed.
March 27, 2007 at 11:46 pm #556266I should ammend that the packaging reeked, and the boxes as well, but the peices only had residual odor to them, so it might have been the packaging that tainted everything, he said that he did have a horrible sense of smell and that he got the packing material and box at his work….I will have to have Louis brave the box to find out….
also, a question, exactly HOW yellowish can the whites get? I’ve heard different stories of the variations…anyone have any pictures?
March 27, 2007 at 11:55 pm #556267some can be very yellow looking in different light…
mine look very yellow in my room…but bright out in the rest of the house with sunlight…
so it just depends….and I’ve tried to get accurate pictures….but it’s really hard…..
I’d give em a good little cleaning with a Qtip to get all the dust off first…to see what color they really are….
March 28, 2007 at 12:07 am #556268Awe, what a bummer.
I agree though, if they smoke, they can’t smell it. My mother does 3-4 packs a day, and all she has to do is role down the window of her car and I start coughing. She can’t smell it.I hope you are able to fix them. That’s such a bummer. I was bidding on a bunch of them too.(sorry if I ran you up!!)
March 28, 2007 at 12:47 am #556269if they smelled strong enough to give Nirvana a migrane then he should have smelled it before he listed them
