I haven’t heard any updates about him, so I figured I’d ask. Did you set him free or keep him?

March 11, 2007 at 10:20 pm #550597I’m here I’m here!!! The squirrel is Fat Happy and a MEAN LITTLE BUGGER!!! He’s a nasty little guy, but he loves walnuts. He sleeps all day and sounds like he’s running a marathon around his cage at night.
Our cat’s line up outside the font of the cage and watch him at night and it looks like they are watching ping pong or tennis. LOL

March 11, 2007 at 10:23 pm #550599Ditto! And it looks like he’s keeping the cats entertained too! 😆
March 11, 2007 at 10:27 pm #550600Yea, I have some cardboard making a little “playpen” around his cage so they can’t go near him so they just stare at him for hours.
I’m thinking of doing what you suggested in spring and maybe putting the cage outside with the food and opening the door and leaving the cage around for a few weeks until he gets adjusted, but we might keep him if he keeps doing well. It’s just too bad he’s so jumpy.

Its a cat thing…I have tons of cats visiting my backyard nowadays, and they all sit there and watch the squirrels eat. Its like they know they can’t catch the squirrels, so they don’t even try 99% of the time — and the squirrels keep eating when there’s a cat sitting right underneath the tree. 😆

Who knows, he might calm down after another month or two. Probably just need to decide when the time comes, as you mentioned…
March 12, 2007 at 8:05 am #550602He’s mean? Feed him to the cat.
