Every bit of this is dry blended, no wet blending at all. Which I really like here because it makes him look rough and natural rather than slick and shiny.

Just curious. What is the reason for the green and red eyes?

The odd-eyes are a trait of the character of mine she was working from (originally blue and red).

I just think it’s so cool she went to the trouble of ordering one with mismatched eyes for me. ^_^

For some reason I’d thought they were green and red. I think because in the picture you gave me they look sort of aqua.

I almost carved in the cheek scars, but then I just couldn’t quite bring myself to deliberately damage a Windstone. It was just making me cringe.

(Though it’s not like it was any huge effort to get the odd eyes. I just mailed Susan and said “like this, please”)

That’s ok, I don’t mind, green is cool too. It was probably just the difference between our monitors/color displays or something. No biggie! It wasn’t a great pic to start with as I said, and like a DOPE I didn’t verbally confirm the colours (brain fart, my bad -_- ).

Anyway, it’s a long and old (and probably not very interesting) story behind the choice of having mismatched eyes for the character (was really what I meant, sorry!) 😉

Er no, I don’t think carving into these would be wise. *LOL* I don’t blame you for being reluctant. 0_0

Yeah I figured it was easy, but you know, you bothered to buy one specifically for that purpose, and simple things make me happy. 😉

I like that dry blending a lot. The rough texture is very realistic. I’m gonna have to try it! 😀

I actually had my dragon that color, but then I didn’t like it so I painted it black. 😆 Yours is much better than mine tho.
