I was wondering if there were any new Windstone flyers in the works. I know there hasn’t been one put in a while and with some colors retiring and new ones being introduced it would be nice to have.
Part of why I ask is there are a few shops I want to try to talk into carrying Windstones, but it’s hard to convince them if they can’t see the product. I have an old flyer, but can’t bring myself to take it with me since it’s from 1997 or so and over half the pieces on it are retired now (flap cats, black unicorns, pegasus, ki-rin, griffin, and then the peacock and emerald dragon colors). I also can’t take any of my collection with me because all of the pieces except for one (hatching pegasus) are retired.
I’m wishing I hadn’t thrown away the other more recent flyers I had when I was trying to get rid of some clutter. I held on to the one I did because I loved everything pictured in it.
The catalogs are so beautiful. Unfortunately the format of the website catalog isn-t formatted to be printed by a regular printer. I think Melody said somewhere that the catalogs cost too much to print, though.
Thanks GB. I forgot the flyers were called catalogs and did a search for them and found the previous topic on them. Drats.
Anyone have a double of a more recent catalog they wouldn’t mind sending me? I could spare a few dollars for it.
I only have two. One, from 2003, I think, came in the box of the Emerald OW I bought from Pip. I was so excited to see another catalog – liked it as much as the dragon. 😆 I learned my 2004 or 2005 – whatever it is – one by heart and having another one, with all the retired molds and colors to look at, was neat.
I have catalogs…somewhere…..I have found two…
but I think I had promised one or two to kirin first…..I just have to keep looking for more…I know I used to have a ton of them…
I think I had 4 or 5 different ones before I threw them away trying to get rid of some clutter. I agonized over throwing them away and now here I am regretting it less than a year later.
The most recent one I remember having had the Cat Wizard’s Face on the front and was from 2002 or so. The one I kept has the emerald hatching royalty (emperor, kinglet and empress) on the front. I picked it up from the Dragon’s Lair folks when I went to Dragon*Con in 1997.
Actually the most recent one had the Garden Rock Dragon on the cover. I only have one for my records though, none to give out.
I hope they do make more. It was great advertising for my website at conventions. If people couldn’t get something right then, they would write the price down in the catalog. My website address was on the back, so they could go there. I have business cards with my website addy, but the person may not remember what the card was for when s/he gets home. A catalog would show him/her and s/he’d remember.

I know I have one with the rock dragon…and one with the cat wizard….but I did have several older ones too…I just have to go through the mess…
and trust me there’s a lot to go through
I have the one with the Rock Dragon and the one with Sea Fire on the front. And I wish I-d picked up the Cat Wizard one from E-Bay a few months ago.
