Ebay strikes again. I just purchased a dark peacock oriental dragon off of ebay and the seller said it was mint from a smoke free home. Well, not exactly. The body and paint are in beautiful condition (so “mint condition” would be correct), but the crystal ball irridecent film has been scratch up. Also it has a slight smell of stale cigrette smoke (although not strong, but I have allergies). I’m waiting a reply from the seller to try to work it out, but I don’t know how it will turn out.
Anyway….I was wondering if anyone had a peacock oriental in mint condition they would like to sell for $$$ or trade for this darker version? I know with some collectors, these small flaws don’t matter. If I can get a mint one from a smoke free home I’m not picky about what version peacock it is.
Also, does anyone have any tricks about how to get smoke smell out of Windstones? Any advice is welcome.
I think this was discussed before and “time” seemed to be the answer. Or burning incense next to it, so it smells like incense instead.
If anyone wants to sell their peacock oriental, I’m looking to buy. I would like the darker blue with no green.
But, the smoke smell, just give it time, eventually it’ll stop smelling so bad. Give it around 3 to 4 years.
See, I want the peacock one with WITH the green and blue in it, haha. Figures.
Oh, and for the cigarette smoke, if you have a safe place to let it air out outdoors for about 12 -18 hours, that works best.

I’m with you, drag0n. I loved the one, I think it was pip? had up here that someone else beat me to. Lots of blues and greens and purples to match my oriental sun and oriental baby
