Was anyone watching this? Did it have a reserve or something? What did it end at?
If you want some entertainment, check out his feedback received from buyers. 😆
February 20, 2007 at 4:25 pm #489756February 20, 2007 at 4:29 pm #541983It ended at $25.49 no reserve. I guess they refused to sell at that price? I was wondering about it myself…

Hmmmm…thats suspect. Probably a friend bidding…shill bidding(?) for him.
February 20, 2007 at 4:37 pm #541985Maybe a friend bid at the end to raise the price?
Yeah, lol, it does look like buyers find their shipping a little high. Seeing those negatives for shipping costs and then listing in the auction they give shipping quotes after the auction ends, would make me not bid even if I liked the product.February 20, 2007 at 4:39 pm #541986If it was not shill bidding, I bet the high bidder refused to pay the high shipping. Im gonna ask the seller how he has two of a one of a kind item?? 😆 I did ask what they charge for shipping and why it got relisted….aaaand this is what they said: “Hello There
The shipping cost depends on the location but if you are in the USA, it will cost around $20, which will include insurance.
This item is relisted because unfortunatly the the first transaction did not go through, so i decided to relist the item.” They sure didn’t give it alot of time!! $20 for shipping is too high…February 20, 2007 at 4:53 pm #541987I had bid up to like 6 bucks because I wanted to scrub that paint job off the poor thing. He is drowning in paint that is too thick and has no detail.
It had to have been shill bidding….February 20, 2007 at 5:05 pm #541988whippetluv wrote:I had bid up to like 6 bucks because I wanted to scrub that ugly crap of a paint job off the poor thing.
😆 I had the same thought!!

It had to have been shill bidding….I am laughing soooo hard right now whippet. I’ve been waiting for someone to bring this item up. It looks as if they are asking a high shipping amount to get the money that they don’t get on the actual bid. That paint job is fugly.
February 20, 2007 at 5:23 pm #541990Ok, I really wasn’t going to say anything, but that poor creature was hideous…..I didn’t want to even deal with a repaint, but I said to Louis, “I’ll bet in only has bids so that the person can repaint the thing and make it look pretty again!” …..Ok, I’m gonna go pack my bags for hell now….
February 20, 2007 at 5:25 pm #541991I resisted the first time around, but when it popped up again, I couldnt resist… esp after I started reading feedback. Perhaps it looks better in person??
February 20, 2007 at 5:27 pm #541992Don’t feel too bad, guys, my first thought when I opened the auction was “Dang, that’s ugly!”
You’re not alone!
February 20, 2007 at 5:29 pm #541993Maybe it’s just me, but isn’t this thread a bit harsh? The person might be a member or guest and if it was me, it would really hurt my feelings to hear people saying that kind of stuff. They must have thought their work was good enough to sell on eBay.

A little, perhaps. The thread was not to bash the paint job, I was just wondering why it was listed and wanted to know if anyone who was watching it could tell me if it had a reserve. As for them being a member, look at their feedback. I personally dont care if I make friends with a seller like this or not. I would actually prefer not. It really looks like they pushed up the price of their own auction, or overcharged the buyer on shipping so they backed out. Either way, it does not look good. As for the paint job, everyone is entitled to their opinion, though I guess we could refrain from voicing it so harshly. Like I said… maybe it looks better in person.
February 20, 2007 at 5:55 pm #541995I was actually referring to the comments on the paint job. Maybe they just did the best that they could painting-wise. As for the shipping costs – they must already know what people think of them by the feedback they have received. They can adjust the shipping costs if they want to, but the talent is another story. *shrugs* Just my 2 cents.
