I just recieved two Dragon Keeps and am so displeased. The auction said that these two dragons were faded, ok I can deal with that, but I just recieved them from UPS. They are not faded, they were wiped clean with a strong abrasive cleaner. You can even see the paint wipe marks and the cracking little bubbles in the creases. These little guys are supposed to have glitter on them and there is not a trace anywhere. Besides that when something gets faded they are not faded evenly. These two are the same on every inch of there bodies even in spots that you know would not be faded. i have sent the seller an e-mail explaining how upset I was and that I wanted the truth about these guys. I don’t know what else to do. I could paint these guys back but can I make the seller take them back and give me my money back. They totally misrepresented their auction. What can I do about this problem? 😕 😡 🙁 👿

If they refuse and paypal refuses you (Which is doubtful…I have never had a claim denied) then the worst you can do is leave bad feeback. Give the seller a chance, though, first.
February 19, 2007 at 9:16 pm #541674I did send the seller an e-mail and asked them to please respond so I’m waiting for that. I would much rather remidy the situation with the seller insted of having to go through pay-pal which I did pay with (always!)
February 19, 2007 at 9:23 pm #541675In this case, the seller is obligated to refund your money if that’s what you want, since they clearly misrepresented the items — provided they didn’t specify on their auction that the items are sold as is and that there are no refunds.
If you bought these items on a credit card, you have the additional option of filing a dispute via the credit card company. Its free (unlike the $25 fee that Paypal charges if you have to escalate it to a formal dispute) and in a case like this the credit card company would also make the seller refund the original shipping charges (though you would have to pay to ship the items back to the seller). With Paypal I think they only make the seller refund the cost of the item.
February 19, 2007 at 9:34 pm #541676Yah, nowhere on their listing does it state no refunds or as is. Even the pics that were on there are darker than what I recieved.
February 19, 2007 at 11:29 pm #541677I’d hire someone to bite them in hard to reach places. I’ll do it for 99 cents and a fish taco.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~
Engaged to a WeaselFebruary 19, 2007 at 11:41 pm #541678I just got in touch with the seller and asked for a refund. They emailed me back and said that I could just keep both of the dragons and they would still give me a refund. The guy doesn’t want them back. He said he got rid of the rest of the collection cause of lack of interest and was hesitant about selling these cause of there coloration. I told him to refund me for the one taht cost more and keep the amount for the other. I would not feel right if I took the whole refund and kept the items too, even if they are messed up.
February 19, 2007 at 11:43 pm #541679Wow, that’s more then what most seller would do though. I’m impressed

February 20, 2007 at 12:46 am #541681Do you have photos of them, or a link to the auction? I’d like to see what you’re talking about.
That’s really nice that the seller was willing to work with you and refund your money. It seems like he knew they were messed up though.

I’m glad this worked out smoothly, Adara. I’d like to see the auction too, if possible.
