Have you made any progress in deciding what the new color was going to be? Will you know before the tan and black mother and chicks are up for sale? Can you show us?

Planning for my wallet here 😀

I was wondering about those things too! I’m glad you already asked. 🙂

Planning for my wallet here 😀 I am getting close to a color, I’ll photo it today and post it. It is a wolf looking one. I can’t decide if the tan color should be soft, or bright chestnut like the “nyalah” one.. I kinda prefer it soft myself, but many people liked the brighter “nyalah” one. (If you don’t know what I am refering to, the pics of these old test colors are in my gallery, on here, under “staff gallery”) I am having trouble with the female, because I didn’t plan her feather pattern to match the male’s very well. She will look different, even with the same coloring, because her chest area is so broad.
I had some pearl griffin chicks test-painted last week. The sitting griffin chicks are cast and ready to paint. We’ll do a batch in Pearl next.
We are still having casting issues with the crouching one, though.

The “wolf colored one” in your gallery is my favorite! I like the softer color better too.

Hmmm…if it’s similar to the nyalah one, does that mean it’s wolf #2? It would be really nice to see some grey griffins out there…
I STILL say wolf #1 is absolutely the best…I know it’s just me…

                EEEEEP can’t wait!!! Griffies!!!! ^_^

Which wolf does she mean? I’m confused…. 😕

                  #541598

Well, she hasn’t specified which of the three wolf-colored test paints she be using for the new griffin color…

At least we do know it’s one of the wolf ones…at least we’re getting somewhere… 😀

I’d like one with more grey then tan, just as a sort of change, but I wouldn’t complain whatever the new color was =) I STILL love the bronze and peacock sunbursts myself.

Yeah – bronze sunburst would be my color of choice.

yes here too, either bronze or gold sunburst for me. the wolf ones are a little dull/similar to the regular tan griffs to me with thoe lighter tones coming in. i love the rich moodiness of the gold sunburst, wow!
whatever the color, i think they will do great when released in the mainstream with all the harry potter hype still, etc. thats a great, more serious, special gift for, lets say, a parent to give a more mature, well behaved child/teen, as something they can keep and grow with.
