Have you made any progress in deciding what the new color was going to be? Will you know before the tan and black mother and chicks are up for sale? Can you show us?
Planning for my wallet here 😀

Planning for my wallet here 😀 I am getting close to a color, I’ll photo it today and post it. It is a wolf looking one. I can’t decide if the tan color should be soft, or bright chestnut like the “nyalah” one.. I kinda prefer it soft myself, but many people liked the brighter “nyalah” one. (If you don’t know what I am refering to, the pics of these old test colors are in my gallery, on here, under “staff gallery”) I am having trouble with the female, because I didn’t plan her feather pattern to match the male’s very well. She will look different, even with the same coloring, because her chest area is so broad.
I had some pearl griffin chicks test-painted last week. The sitting griffin chicks are cast and ready to paint. We’ll do a batch in Pearl next.
We are still having casting issues with the crouching one, though.February 19, 2007 at 5:29 pm #541593Drool. I can’t wait to see the new griffin color!

The “wolf colored one” in your gallery is my favorite! I like the softer color better too.

I STILL say wolf #1 is absolutely the best…I know it’s just me…EEEEEP can’t wait!!! Griffies!!!! ^_^

-J R R TolkienFebruary 20, 2007 at 4:03 am #541597Which wolf does she mean? I’m confused…. 😕
February 20, 2007 at 4:05 am #541598Well, she hasn’t specified which of the three wolf-colored test paints she be using for the new griffin color…
February 20, 2007 at 4:15 am #541599At least we do know it’s one of the wolf ones…at least we’re getting somewhere… 😀
February 20, 2007 at 4:31 am #541600I’d like one with more grey then tan, just as a sort of change, but I wouldn’t complain whatever the new color was =) I STILL love the bronze and peacock sunbursts myself.

February 20, 2007 at 5:14 am #541602yes here too, either bronze or gold sunburst for me. the wolf ones are a little dull/similar to the regular tan griffs to me with thoe lighter tones coming in. i love the rich moodiness of the gold sunburst, wow!
whatever the color, i think they will do great when released in the mainstream with all the harry potter hype still, etc. thats a great, more serious, special gift for, lets say, a parent to give a more mature, well behaved child/teen, as something they can keep and grow with. -
