I made a batch of koi-rin! ^_^ I’m very happy with them, too. The asagi (blue and white scales) is going to Whippetluv for the big PYO trade and the tancho sanke (black and white scales) is going to Watergazer for a different trade. (that is, if you do still want that one, Water!) The gin-rin silver was my first koi-rin that I did a while back…the sanke, with the orange and black scales, will be up for sale on ebay…tomorrow or the next day I think. I’ll post the link here.

-J R R TolkienFebruary 18, 2007 at 6:03 am #541474Beautiful, Arlla. I don’t even have a favorite because they’re all lovely.
February 18, 2007 at 6:03 am #541475I LOVE the second one! 😯
February 18, 2007 at 6:08 am #541476I like the 2nd one in the last pic, but then I am partial to the black one (3rd).
February 18, 2007 at 6:10 am #541477VERY TOUGH to try to pick a favorite, they are all great! i love the pic of all of them together! weeeeeeeeeeee collect them ALL! that must have been a bugger antiquing the white over that gunmetal dark silver gray… if i tried that i would make the filthiest, stainy, smeary mess! that looks like it was really hard to do and keep clean! super impressive as always!
February 18, 2007 at 6:12 am #541478Believe it or not, it’s not any harder to antique a light color over a dark color than it is to antique dark over light. It’s just hard to antique, period! XD I got lucky with this one, though.

-J R R TolkienFebruary 18, 2007 at 6:13 am #541479awesome photos too by the way!! really, really nice n reach out and grab clear!
February 18, 2007 at 6:20 am #541480Thank you!!!!!!! 😀 That makes me happy to hear you say that! I bought a different color posterboard for the background so they didn’t disapear into the white, I moved my camera back a few feet from where I usually take pictures, and I took a whole bunch on different settings to see what looked best! The colors are a teensy bit warmer in the photos than they are in real life, but otherwise I’m really happy with how these turned out! ^_^

February 18, 2007 at 5:14 pm #541485They are all great but my favorites are #3 and #1 in the group shot.
February 18, 2007 at 7:20 pm #541486They’re all beautiful! The white antiquing on the dark gray scales of the 2nd one is particularly striking.
