Anyone do anything nice for you today?
My hubby left me a box of chocolates and a card thaty said:
Honey, even though there have been times when I’m sure you wanted to…
…thanks for never strangling me in my sleep.
(now thats love)On the front is a guy passed out on the couch with beer cans and chip bags strune all over the place.
Haha–he always buys funny cards. I though it was nice that he actually thought ahead a little and had it there for me when I woke up– PLUS he bought a little stuffed animal for our oldest son.
AWWWWWWWWWWE 🙂 feel free to puke now if you like lol
Hey look- I have to brag when he does stuff right– cause it doesn’t happen often- lol just j/k
mipaFebruary 14, 2007 at 2:21 pm #489686February 14, 2007 at 2:35 pm #539242My man hasn’t done anything for me. He says he does not celebrate valentines. Im a little sad 🙁 Im taking my son out to dinner and my man can pack sand.
February 14, 2007 at 2:37 pm #539243We had a nice lunch in the dining room, and Mom put up all the pretty, artsy Valentine’s deco she made when she still had time to do stuff like that (before 5 kids came along). It was a Chinese dinner, very good, left me a lot of dishes to clean up. 😆
February 14, 2007 at 2:40 pm #539244We went out for dinner on Sunday and I gave him his give then. He just handed me an envelope before heading out the door, but he doesn’t want me to open it until later. He has to work tonight (theater doesn’t take off for holidays), so I’ll probably be grading papers or working on my thesis.
February 14, 2007 at 2:51 pm #539245Ah, I have nothing planned since I was suppose to be in classes all late afternoon and night, but there is a storm here so my University is closed.
Oh well, classes canceled is special enough for me 🙂 Happy Valentines Day everyone!
February 14, 2007 at 2:56 pm #539246Lucky you, Lokie. I wish mine were.

That is really sad… 🙁 You go enjoy dinner with your son. Show your sig other how it’s done. 😉 By the way…. ‘pack sand’? Pardon my naivete (happens a lot)… but I think I’m missing the reference. 😳
As for myself, due to illness and having been far too busy with work, I will not be up to making duck leg confit for dinner like I had hoped (for my dear friend and I… we celebrate Valentines because we’re so close and it’s all we have in the way of ‘love’). I think we’ll just keep things quiet and relax. There will be 364 other days to express our affections.
February 14, 2007 at 4:41 pm #539248well my man lives 1300 miles away and can’t keep enough income going up there yet for gifts 😕 i am hopefull for my birthday comming up tho i bought flowers for the whole house here tho bright spring colors
February 14, 2007 at 4:55 pm #539249Im sorry DD. I hope you get to feeling better.
My man actually came through! I was feeling all down today cuz I didnt get a happy valentines from my man. I went to the PX and went shopping… though I didnt buy anything, just put some clothes on layaway. My man called to see how I did on my test and I told him about my day. I got up later and decided to drop his present off at his house while he was at work, that way it would be there when he got home. When I walked in, he was sitting on his couch wrapping a present!! He was like, “What are you doing here?? Get out!!” 😆 I said, “What are YOU doing here?? You’re supposed to be at work!” Well, he told me to go down to the car, and in it were a dozen red roses. I came back up and he had two bottles of perfume for me! (Euphoria, by CK and The One, by D&G) He also had a little box of chocolate (Lindt) 😀 THEN he tells me he was pissed cuz he had gone to the store to get my clothes off layaway and the lady wouldn’t do it for him! How sweet is that??!! What a nice thought. I cannot tell his friends that he supported the Hallmark propaganda, though, so i will have to look sad tomorrow 😛
Pack sad is pretty much the same as “Let them eat cake” or “Shove off.” I am not sure where it originated, but it could have something to do with filling sandbags being a sucky job ❓
February 14, 2007 at 4:55 pm #539250I got a cold nosed wake up call at midnight just to tell me Happy Valentines day……
February 14, 2007 at 5:01 pm #539251😆 Did that make or break the day?
February 14, 2007 at 5:08 pm #539252I hope you get feeling better also DD.
That is great that your man came thru Ski. My bf doesn’t really celebrate holidays, but since I give him something he feels bad when he doesn’t give me something. The one thing I wish he gave me was flowers, but he doesn’t like do that either. He gave me McFarlane Dragons and I think after the funeral we are going out to eat with our friends.
And a cold nose wake up call? Hmm, I don’t think I want to know. 😆
February 14, 2007 at 5:31 pm #539253Yah, that kind of broke the day…..
February 14, 2007 at 5:32 pm #539254Poor Nirvana. Maybe your griffins will reach you today.
