For Sale: One black bat winged flap cat. It has very small chips. It had chipped ears (repainted), the necklace is chipped (a little gold paint will hide), a chipped blue “stone” (just needs a dot of blue paint), the gold on the wings are almost rubbed off. I’ve posted pictures of it before I touched up the ears and other places with black paint. One picture will be an after I’ve touched it up. I would like $35 at least for it.

I don’t think that is unreasonable since I paid $45 for it in the chipped condition. I need the money otherwise I wouldn’t sell it. Someone got into my paypal and managed to max out my credit card. I need to pay for the curlies I bought the other day.

And if anyone is interested in a spirit wolf candlelamp with a broken ear let me know.

That’s horrible that somebody stole your money, Romeo. Is there any chance of finding out who?

      #535376

So sorry that happened. That really sucks. Anyone who would try to do that to me would be sorry…I spend all of my money. hehe

Thanks guys if I knew who did it then I’d be taking a baseball bat to them. Really I would. Of course the bank didn’t think anything of it since it was done in small increments. $50 here, $100 there. So on. Like when have I ever spent around $2000 in one month. 🙄 Whatever. I have an RSP I can cash in on the 20th so I’ll be able to pay down my credit card. The worst part about it is they won’t recover any of the money since I didn’t report it stollen (wasn’t stollen, was hacked into) They say they can’t do a thing about it since they don’t know if it was me or not. 🙄 When all of it’s paid off I’m tearing the card up and I’ll tell the company to stick it. 😈 👿 😈 😛

That’s awful. You need a card with identity theft protection! Hopefully, whoever did this will not continue to do it.

        I am so glad I don’t have PayPal. 😯

Are you saying that you didn’t report those charges as fraudulent? Because if you did, you shouldn’t be responsible for it. That’s standard practice for every credit card that I know about.

I’ve had a PayPal account for over five years and never had any trouble. Oh oh… just a second… *slams head on wooden desk a couple times*… there, just in case.

That scares me, Romeo. I only just started using PayPal, and I only got a CC so I could buy off E-Bay. How can I avoid having the same thing happen to me?

          #535383

You just need to report the fraudulent charges — you’re protected if you do (see previous post above).

Okay… I still wonder how someone can hack into a PayPal account? Maybe if the password was insecure or something…

Sometimes people fall for the phishing emails that thieves send out:

“Your account has been suspended due to inactivity, click here now to update…”

“Your account has been accessed by an unauthorized person. Click here now to report…”

Etc. Those links will take the person to a page that looks like a sign-in page for PayPal. If they enter their id and password, then the thief has them.

I don’t know if this is what happened with Romeodanny or not, but this is the most common and easily prevented way. Don’t Click On That Link!

Always access PayPal through a separate window to see if there is a problem. If you can access PayPal, you are fine. You can forward the email to spoof@PayPal.com to have them verify it.

People try this with ebay too.
