This weekenend or next week I am going to paint my pink-eyed dragon and KiRin. I want to paint them first and get the pinkness out of here. I got them in the mail at last! I’ve decided to paint them in pinks and purples; the kirin with a violet to deep purple mane with white, and a gradient of pink scales…and the dragon with deep pruples for the spine and the scales trailing into the pinks and white for the belly…both all souped up with violet intereference paints.

I was wondering a couple of things…should I attach quartz stones to them? Or maybe buy small quartz crystal balls? I have no idea where to get those. And should I maybe sell them as a paired set or singly?

You can find alot of stones, quartz and jade etc. at mineral shops. I have an Exotic Imports store in my local mall (local…35 mins away 😛 )that sells some neat little “crystal ball” things. But that isn’t all they sell. Otherwise look on Evilbay, they always have tons of that stuff on there and sometimes you can get a good bargain if you buy a “lot” of stones from a single buyer. 😀

I’m looking into it…not sure yet if I will do this but I may like an egg-shaped stone for the dragon. It depends on the sizes I can get since they gotta be small, almost like a bead. There’s nowhere around here that sells stuff like that. I’l lucky we just got in a Best Buy and we do have a Michaels. The rest is cornfields.

I’d try Michael’s. They might have something there, aren’t they a crafting store?

They do sometimes have real stone beads, so it’s possible. But they’d be threaded with a hole, don’t know if that would work.

If you go with something on eBay, make sure you will be getting the actual stone/egg/sphere that is pictured. Some sellers post pictures of the nicest one they have and then send you one that isn’t as nice.

I would say sell them separately but at the same time, so that if someone does want both they can get them… but selling them as a pair in one auction might limit who bids – I think a lot of people are only fond of certain sculpts.
