Wow, that is insane. I feel really bad for that dog and I never knew that a possible pine cone shortage could cause that kind of ferocity (I’d like to believe that explanation instead of them being a gang of killer attack squirrels). A helicopter needs to fly over and drop an emergency supply of pine cones on that forest!!!

Oh man. Poor dog. I bet it’s only a matter of time before that story gets turned into a horror flick with added types of prey…

OMG — I’ve never heard of that before! It seems almost too incredible to be true. And though the incident is gruesome, that’s amazing teamwork by those squirrels!

The article was written with a skeptical note.

its not hard for 3 witnesses to corraberate a story….Thats what I am gonna pretend/think happened. No way a cute little fuzzy squirrel or 10 could take out a large dog in under a few minutes. The dog would just run! Right? …

Depends on how big it was. The article quotes “big”, but if was some starved terrier-type rat, why not?

And remember the piranhas and the cow…

SquirrelLand squirrels wouldn’t do such a horrible thing.

And I’m very skeptical that it really happened at all. Since when have squirrels been pack animals. The squirrels in my area are very territorial and don’t even want to eat together, let alone do anything else. Of course, since they were black, maybe they’ve gone over to the dark side… 😈
