Or, first PYO all together.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/rusti_knight/windstonerus1.jpgI’m sort of disappointed that I couldn’t get the silver ‘frost’ on the top half of her wing feathers to show as more than an ‘extra shiny’ shadow in the photo. I’ll have to play around with some lighting to see if I can make it work.
Anywho, first PYO for me, went smoothly, and I rather like her.
ETA: I went back and antiqued her like some of you suggested, and I have to admit, I’m sold. It did absolute wonders for her! She’s painted after a rather personal characterization, so I’m torn as to whether or not to ebay her, but here she is anyway!
New pics!:

December 23, 2006 at 7:52 am #519535Heh, I tried to go without it, but her wings where like Whoa! and the rest of her just kind of faded into the background, so gloss coat it was, though it is growing on me.
December 23, 2006 at 9:07 am #519536Wow! Very pretty! I like it alot.
December 23, 2006 at 4:17 pm #519537I love the cool greys with those cool blue wings. I would antique it though to bring out the texture in the fur better. You can do that right over the gloss coat and it think it would explode to life!
December 23, 2006 at 10:24 pm #519538Neat! I like it!
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

Where did the tutorial go for that, anyway? I looked for it, but the link is broken. I might give it a shot if I can find that reading material.
December 23, 2006 at 10:45 pm #519540It looks like its working now — I just tried it: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/Paint%20your%20own%20tutorial.pdf
December 23, 2006 at 11:37 pm #519541Thanks! I’ll have to find a clean sponge and give it a go.
December 23, 2006 at 11:38 pm #519542Good luck with it. Post pics when you’re done!
December 24, 2006 at 4:51 am #519543The wings are really pretty. Whippet’s right – antiquing would add the perfect touch.

January 3, 2007 at 1:14 am #519545Wow, the antiquing did make a big difference! He looks like he has a lot more depth now.
January 3, 2007 at 6:52 am #519546I just saw your auction on Ebay! Good luck!
