I tried to make this similar to the larger one in Melodys’ gallery, but it just looks sloppy. Any help would be appriciated. Everything thats blue, started out green, and visa versa. He does look a little better in person than he does in these pics.
Maybe go over the transition areas with a “watered” down mix of the two colors? You know, give it more of a blended effect? I’m really wracking my brain for technique to help with….If I come up with anything better I will post. The most prominant “problem” for me when I look at it, is the separation of the colors…they look so abandond to their own space, so maybe something that blends them a little more will help….Hope this helps!
Well…I cant antique cuz my only sponge is shot. I went over the lines again and just cleaned it up. I will probably tweak the wing joints, cuz they still look a little sloppy to me, but I like the overall colors. This paint im using is very unforgiving 😕
Thanks everyone! I painted the last one with the broken horn pink. I was painting this one last night, and handed it to my bf to let him check it out. He accidentally dropped it and it broke. I had been working on it for about 2hrs when this happened. Its sad, too, cuz the horns looked like REAL horns. They were the best part! 😥
