Here it is. I think these are hard to paint because making fur look like fur seems very difficult. I think this one is more for folks who have skills. I didn’t do too well, though I dont scream when I look at it. I still need to clean up the wings a little bit and paint the pads, but other than that, he is finished.

But I love the area around the eyes and particularly the shoulders! That rich sable brown kinda color is wonderful! What color are you going to use for the pads?

I couldnt tell it looked chalky till I took pics. Im fixing it now. Im just gonna do the pads a dark grey or black. I cleaned up the wings a bit, too, cuz it just looked dirty in the pics.
December 10, 2006 at 2:55 pm #515340Cool! I can’t wait to see it finished! You are doing a great job so far!

Thanks! I would say he does not look too different than before. He has a clear coat on and I touched up a few spots. Overall I am very happy with how he turned out. His fur actually looks soft and has depth. He is darker than I intended, but its hard to leave things white!
December 10, 2006 at 5:11 pm #515346Very, very nice!!! Can you take a pic looking down at him a bit? His eyes are angled upwards too much in this view. I’d like a better look at his face. I really do love him….
December 10, 2006 at 5:24 pm #515347Sure thing. I am not a great photographer π I put him under the light, too.
Better?
December 10, 2006 at 5:27 pm #515348Much, much better!!! He’s such a handsome boy!!! Thanks!!! π

Any time! You’re right. It is better. hehehe…In every pic, it looks like he is staring at you! These eyes are creepy!!
December 10, 2006 at 5:32 pm #515350I haven’t seen one in person yet. The eyes do look very life-like. That’s one of the things about eyes on Windstone, they seem to follow you around the room…most of the time it’s okay, but as you say, it can get a bit creepy at times… π π
