Several years ago I bought the Keeper PYO dragon, and due to life only just took the plunge to paint it this week. (I also have to give myself credit for having *not* lost the eyes or crystal I got with the dragon after moving twice with the unpainted/unboxed dragon)
I had always intended a more ‘ice dragon’ motif, and I added a few additional crystals I had on hand. I ended up using a pearlescent blue and white/silver along with some straight silver paint on top of the white basecoat and slowly adding in bright blue to my white so I could build up the cold look. I’m incredibly proud of this, I’ve never painted a sculpture like this, but I am so happy with how it came out, and how it looks among the rest of my collection. 🙂

Really beautiful! And very impressive that you were able to keep track of the eyes and gem through two moves!

Very frosty and pretty! I love the gradient of white and blues.

I love the pearlescent blue you added! It must look so nice when you walk past and see the shine. Great icy palette.
