So a while back I stupidly wanted to clean my mother dragon and just took a scrub brush and some soapy water and went to town. I notice now, compared to a newer piece I have, that the mother is looking very lackluster. Is there a way to restore her shine? Clear coat paint? Thanks for any help!

Actually, some of the older pieces have a less shiny paint. It depends on the colour.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Some of the older pieces were finished with a satin clear coat. Yours might be one of those.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will leave her be, in all her original glory. 🙂

Some of the more natural colored newer test paints are either satin or matte also. I know I liked the less shiny finish on the old hoofers particularly. It makes their coats look more like horsehair. Scales can be shiny though.

Just for general information: Its not recommended to scrub them.
