At long last, I painted something, this time, a wedding gift for a forum friend. She hasn’t been around for quite some time, but some of you may remember Greater Basilisk. She got married this summer and when I asked what she wanted as far as PYOs, she selected the rooster and hen in her wedding colors, vibrant green, blue and brown. It makes for an almost natural rooster, but I totally cheated for the hen.

We’ve been so busy with renos in not one, but two houses that painting PYOs has been on the back burner. With winter at our doors, I should be able to paint more, though. I’ve already decided on the next one, a kirin 🙂

January 1, 2020 at 8:34 am #1595983These are really cute! I just recently bought a hen to paint as I have real chickens. Just can’t decide what color/breed to paint her yet. Will get a rooster to paint one of these days.
Again, very nicely done!
