Just to encourage the lap fans on that auction ending today….
This lighting is compact fluorescent cool white. Under traditional incandescents, the blue looks sea green.

Wish he was sitting next to a Silver dragon – it would be neat to see the two colors side by side!

I named the type of bulb above incorrectly. It is “daylight” CFL, not bright white, or whatever I said.

This colorway is absolutely beautiful. (Possibly one of my favorites? Right up there with black rainbow pastel <3)

I think this is something that looks better on bigger items, since the coloring is so subtle. Did an emperor or old warrior get done in overcast?

Thank you, everyone! Glad you enjoyed the photos. Honestly, I think she’s more blue in person than my pics show – sitting on the couch across the room from her, I can clearly see the blue on her sides and tail, and a bit on her shoulders. I’d really like to get some pictures of her on an (heh) overcast day; I think the sun from the window was making her silver tones look more prominent.
I have no idea how I can fit them all in a conga now, Rylorien! (But hey: what a problem to have, right?) 😀 I’ll probably wait to update the conga thread until I have one more Lap to show off. Lining them up in pairs to conga seemed to work pretty well last time, and Overcast brought me up to an odd number.
Anyone want to sell me a Lap from my classifieds ad so she’ll have a partner?Thank you again to Liza Z for starting the thread; it definitely influenced my bidding for the Lap to see how much shading this color really has. 🙂

I’m considering the Pastel Rainbow, but I’m really more of a fan of monochrome color schemes – if you’ve seen my Lap Conga, you know they’re all arranged in rainbow order. I’m more drawn to colors that will fit into the Lap Rainbow (and maybe cost a little less…..?)
