I am at my wits end trying to post pictures here. I never had problems before the change over. Now, no matter what size I make the photo or how I try to link it, it’s not accepted. I’ve just about had it with it. 🙁

Just clicking the ‘IMG’ button in the reply field here and pasting the image URL into it 🙂

I just upload to photobucket, then copy and paste the HTML into my post or ad. Trying to use the site image uploading is really buggy for me.

Yeah, I use photobucket as well. When this new site first started up, HTML did not work, but it was one of the first things they fixed for us. So now I post just like I used to on the old one. Upload my photos to the bucket, and then copy paste the HTML directly into my text. Works on the forums, classifieds, and private messages.

I am using tinypic. After downloading to the website and you pick the picture you want to use, go down to the “resize” box (it is to the bottom right). Choose “Message Board 640×480” from the drop down menu. Then go to the left of the screen and you will see various options to choose from. I used to use the top one “HTML for websites”, but now the second option “IMG code for forums and message boards” seems to work better with the new format. Copy the code and paste to your post. I haven’t tried it with an ad yet, but that is how I posted my pics to the baby uni thread yesterday and it worked fine.

Do we put the code between quotation marks as we did before? I am having a hard time as well…

Still not working for me. I use Photobucket, always have. Tried both links that it provides to ad a photo here. Didn’t work. When I try to put one in an ad, it keeps telling me it’s not the right size, even when I change it to what it says it should be. I have two old ads from before the change over. One made it just fine. The other one had all but one photo removed and it won’t let me put them back even though they are the same size as the one that’s still there. Very frustrating since I want to put some new ads up.

Copper, if you look at the box you’re typing your text into: there are various links for making html codes. B, I, Link, B-QUOTE, Del, IMG. IMG is what you want. Click on it, it opens a box. Paste your link for your picture. It will then open up a second box asking for a description (optional) and a checkbox–DONT click the box or you’ll have to manually type out the HTML for other pictures.

For classified ads it’s a bit different, I believe. You have to make the ad’s body first then are prompted with an opportunity to add pictures after you’ve hit continue. But don’t quote me on this bit about the classifieds.

I do use the IMG button. I just tried it again. All I get is a link that takes you to my Photobucket page. I was checking the box that you said not to. Tried it again without checking it. Same results. Thank you all for tring to help. I’m off to try an ad again.

Almost. It double-posted the <img src=”. Delete those first 10 characters or so.

Got it! Had to delete stuff from the beginning and the end. Now to try an ad! Thank you!

Figured out the problem with the ads. All the pictures I took I shot vertically. I had sized the pictures 640×480 (height&width), but it wants the width minimum 640. So, I turned the pictured sideways and it worked. So, now I have to do that to all the pictures I just took, or re do the pictures. I don’t want to drag them all outside again, So for this batch, I’ll just turn them. *sigh* I’m really not liking the new forum. Thanks again for all your help!
