Hey Ms.Melody,ever thought about making a chess set from some of the sculpts but in smaller size like with maybe a 3-D printer? Jeff and I were talking about it just for fun-

Small Set Large Set

King-Male Ki-Rin King-Emperor Dragon

Queen-Young Unicorn Queen-Rising Spectral

Bishops-sm.Wizards Bishops-lg.Wizards

Knights-Colts Knights-Grand Unicorns

Rooks-sm.Claw Stands Rooks-Dragon Bookends

Pawns-Tadpoads…. Pawns-Adult Poads

they would so cute with their little tufts like helmets and the serious looks on their faces.LOL

Making the board would be cool with designs from The Veligent.

Oh sure, I have thought about it… gypsum isn’t really durable enough to be handled that much.

I don’t play chess, wouldn’t have a clue how to even begin, but even I could appreciate a set like that. I think it would be stunning!

As much as I love PYO’s a chess set in the sizes discussed in the earlier link I would have no way to display or even store really. I supposed I can keep it set up on the kitchen table! Who wants to sit down to eat anyhow?? lol

Make what works for you Melody. You already do so much for us all!

Chess sets are a weird thing to collect, but I discovered a reason people do it.

In the olden days, like before 1980, people would play chess with others by mail! They’d need to have several chess boards set up to keep track of the various games they were playing.

I would say about 75% of people I know play chess.We do.That is an interesting fact Ms.Melody.I doubt I could do that but with technology today,very feasible.
