This is the Male Dragon in copper patina – this batch released 3/4/14 looks a little different so we are calling it “version 2” (in spite of the fact that every batch has been a little different).
These “rescue” dragons are pieces that had slight casting defects. Normally we would have destroyed these, but we have devised a way to make use of otherwise perfectly good dragons by painting them with a “distressed antique” finish that enhances the surface flaws with patina and makes them beautiful. A few random scales are highlighted with brighter gold, copper, or violet (this batch has a little more violet than the last). We all think they are gorgeous; they look like weathered cast bronze. We have given this batch blue zircon jewels and teal eyes and this new batch is painted in a brighter and more reddish copper color than our previous copper patina dragons, and the surface may be smoother. These dragons vary slightly in texture and color because every one of these dragons is an individual. These are unsigned limited production.
