What’s being worked on now or what’s coming soon to the store?
I am painting another batch of gb unicorns, in normal horse colors.
Sherry is busy painting the v2 hatchers in every color, including pearl, old brown, rainbow, emerald, old peacock and maybe old green.
We’ll be doing them in every retired color except ruby and red fire, -unless we can find a way to approximate that red paint color with Golden brand paints somehow.I am not sure which new sculpture will be in production next, but I think the “Hoarder dragon” is farthest along in the molding process.
Several new sculptures are finished, but they are waiting for the production molds to be made. The production molds take quite a bit of time to make.
Things waiting for production molds:
Baby dragon, unicorn colt, Mini Keeper dragon, and winged meerkat.Sculptures that are ALMOST done:
pyo flap cat and the Male PYO foo-dogI am still carving details on the baby standing kirin and the kitty griffin, but they are almost done too.
Please do lots of appaloosas and pintaloosas in the gbb batch! 🙂 (Especially bays and palominos!) Excited <3
I live in Canada, so international shipping isn’t too bad to here (not overseas from the states).
Brokerage fees are charged because couriers have their own customs agents who check the parcels, whereas usps/ Canada post uses different ones. So they charge fees to pay them I guess, and it’s supposed to be worth it because it’s faster. It’s not the same as customs fees, those are different, and at least in Canada, are completely random. Sometimes I order something worth $300 and get charged the full 13%, other times I buy something worth $500 and don’t get charged anything.
Something else to note, in the States, recipients won’t get charged customs fees for imports but they CAN get charged brokerage fees. So Canadian sellers, make sure you let people know, I’ve had buyers get charged $30-$50 upon receipt of items and Americans are not used to paying those types of fees so it can potentially cause feedback issues. If the item is declared as a gift and $100 or less I don’t think they charge brokerage. Also, if you do your UPS forms online, make absolute sure you do your customs forms properly; since UPS uses their own customs people they are more thorough and if you don’t have 3 sets of customs forms filled out properly they WILL open your parcel to check it and they will NOT pack it back properly.
I think a lot of packing, shipping, and international shipping experience comes from making mistakes and learning the hard way, unfortunately. Sounds like you’ve had some good advice so far though! 🙂
Love it! Gold or silver, would love to have one.
She did half the eyes last night and still has to do the rest of the eyes tonight. The horns were done (except on a few) already. So I doubt they will go in tonight, they still need signatures and pads so doubtful for tomorrow too. I’m not sure if there are ones that needed paint touch ups waiting either, so I’d guess early next week?
edit: none of them have jewels either, she was just glueing in the eyes yesterday.

Skeeter, here’s a photo of the zombie outfit: http://scenceable.deviantart.com/#/d5l64jx
there are more on facebook (mostly terrible bar photos) if you want to add me, I’m facebook.com/scenceable 🙂
November 19, 2012 at 1:44 am in reply to: OOAK unicorn for sale on Ebay starting at 99 cents, some on etsy too #888711Haha, I thought about it, but there were a lot of functional issues with it (mostly just that it was too heavy- had to drink a lot for my neck to stop hurting!) but I’ll think about it!
I can definitely do zombie sculptures though. 😛
After you complete your order you can go back to your shopping cart and remove whatever is in it. That also removes/stops the clock.
Doesn’t that just put an extra whatever back into the store though?
Apparently not. I wondered about that too, but they seem to have some way around it.
Phew! Okay then 🙂

I bought an oriental in LP and paid for it, the order is all through and fine BUT the timer on the cart is still going and still says I have one in my cart. I’m not sure whether this means it will restock in the store once the timer runs out… that might be an issue! Things restocking when they aren’t in stock. Hopefully it’s just a glitch!
When I was searching for apartments I went through craigslist and got a lot of weird replies worded a lot like that. If you’re giving out your address or bank information at all, then I’d say it’s a scam for sure. It reads like one of those sketchy nigerian prince emails.
I was wondering whether the males were that much lighter. I’m glad I didn’t get a baby, I like the light ones much more.

Thank you Jennifer for your insight. And like you said earlier, yes, this is really no different than what other artists do, creating special OOAK pieces and selling them through their personal website. Also, as Jennifer said, this will not be replacing ebay sales. And there will still be monthly raffles and quest prizes!
We made these items, why shouldn’t we be allowed to sell what we made on our website? 🙂
Yep. People complain about ebay being unfair, people complain that selling things in the store is unfair, and people will complain that selling these guys as BIN is unfair. You’re never going to please everyone, unless you give them away for free haha. Well actually, that’s not true as I’ve seen people complain that the raffles and quests are unfair in some way or another.
So… do what you think benefits the most people, and what will be best for windstone. 😛
What I think…
Have the item up for a BIN price in the store. No offers. Then give people the option that if they see an item that has been sitting for a long time and would like to offer, they can just email you? On the off-chance that one of these specials sits in the store for more than a few days, you’d likely only get a couple emails to respond to.
Overall I agree that there’s likely no need for the offers at all.
I sent mine digitally and haven’t got a confirmation email? Just want to double check that it went through 🙂
