Thanks so much! I’m tempted to try the gray/blue tiger coloration with this paint scheme on a Father Foo to be a partner for my original copy of the Mother Foo. But that would be for another time at a much later date. For now I guess it’s time for Flap Cat painting!

I like the body shading and antiquing on Marzipan. And I’m impressed with how straight you kept all the color strands in her mane and tail. I’m sure I would have botched somewhere if I had tried that! lol She’s lovely.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI do enjoy the grab bags, it’s fun to see them and vicariously enjoy the anticipation and excitement of ordering and trading them. But I feel awkward putting in any input most of the time because I don’t often order them. It seems unfair to put in an opinion when I’m not going to be participating. Not that I don’t want to, I just usually don’t have the spare funds for it (because I’m a penny pinching miser ;), lol). Sometimes I’ll suggest a paint scheme idea…but again, it feels a bit weird when I know I’m probably not going to participate.
But considering the debate still seems to be going, here’s my two cents. Instead of a monthly grab bag, why not every other month (I’m sure somebody has already suggested this)? Get a bit of a breather in between for painter and purchasers. That way, if there is a grab bag coming up that sounds interesting a purchaser can save up for it. If not, they can get a production piece they’ve been eying or something.

I gave my cousin a dragon that I painted (I can’t remember – have I shared that here yet? I should check!) for her wedding and now they want me to paint it a friend! I am so happy! (Also it’ll require me painting it in a non-stripey theme which will be a nice challenge. I love stripes but I’m afraid they are too much of a comfort zone for me!) It’s going to be in my favourite colour palette too, orange and blue!

I’m up for that! Haven’t gotten any specific votes, so that works just fine. Plus, I haven’t painted that sculpt before and the Kitsune and Unicorns haven’t gotten here yet. I think if I don’t get any other feedback I’ll pick the blue eyed flap cat. Thanks!

Well, if I do that…it does narrow down the choices a little. I haven’t painted the Kitsune, Male Dragon, Griffin Kitty or Flap Cat!

🙂 My budget is usually pretty tight, so in recent years I’ve squeezed down on my Christmas shopping. This year I might only be buying for my parents. I could go either way right now.
