I know we aren’t suppose to post if we got it, but I didn’t and was wondering if I was the only one who didn’t get it. I even checked my spam folder to make sure it wasn’t being sent to it. Maybe I should just sign up again?
Congratulations to the winners!
And I’d love to see an outtakes video, Stormbreeze, if you are ever inspired to do one.
Not trying to gang pile, just agreeing with Amstaff about how awful I think glue traps are and how I wish they were taken off the market. I do love rodents (umm… my rat Jack Jack as my avatar), but I do understand the need to eliminate unwanted rodents from homes. I just think there are more humane ways of killing something than having it be stuck to glue paper, dying slowly of thirst, and attempting to chew through its own limbs to get free.
There have been a few eBay pieces lately that have sold for less than store price on a production piece. Amazing…..I have felt badly for Melody on this. 🙁
I had the same feeling (says the girl who bought her share of test paints for $500+ (including some Barn Swallow ones 😉 ). On the other hand, there are a lot more things available in the store now. It no longer is “test paint or nothing” to get new Windstones, and I think that has affected the market for many of the test paints.
You and Drag0n and I can march side by side, pushing our walkers and exchanging stories of test paints we bought back in the day. 😀
I was actually thinking it was probably the abundance of grab bags that is keeping ebay prices down. It use to be the only place to get a OOAK Windstone piece (or even a piece in a limited run) was to battle it out on Ebay. Now OOAK pieces are a dime a dozen and can be obtained directly out of the Windstone store at a fixed price so there is no competition to drive up prices. I’m sure there are other factors involved (like the economy for those who are broke, Special Items section in the Windstone store for those who have the money to spend now), but If I was to wager a guess, the grab bags probably have hurt the ebay market. On top of that, when there is competition (driving up of prices), its on the secondary market with reselling of grab bags, so Windstone doesn’t get a cut of that.

I really want to applaud all the members who participated in this quest. The idea of being near a camera (let alone a video camera!) terrifies me. I didn’t even like having my hands shown and my voice heard in the first quest. Its super seeing so many people willing to put themselves out there.
Is the wolf one of the metallic colored ebay/special pieces? Seems to have a lil more of a glow to it than the others
No, no metallic/chrome on him. However, he is exquisitely painted. He was the Quest 2, Question 1 prize.
Happy Birthday!
Lovely, Congrats!
Happy Belated Birthday!
Beautiful collections! Hoping to get mine photoed soonish.
A little late but Merry Christmas! And Happy New Year! My Garmin Forerunner 100 that I’ve had for 10 years died out a couple of months ago, so my parents got me a new forerunner. Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow. Its been WARM for Massachusetts this time of year.
I received a unicorn colt, it is a dapple grey with a pinto pattern and has light blue eyes. I’m really behind in photoing stuff so Pam’s photo may appear before I get a chance too.
I’ve never heard of these but after googling them, wow, those “toy” fishes are beautiful.
