Thank you for the nice comments. When I move this summer I’ll get another glass display case so those others don’t have to be on the bookcase anymore.

The mother meerkat is definitely a tall lady. Though, she is standing on a rock, so she is artificially inflating her height a bit! No high heels in the grasslands and deserts; they have to make do with what they got 😛

That is an OOAK piece by Wood-Splitter-Lee. Yes, it’s a tree growing out of its back! She use to do a lot more fantasy stuff (a lot of which looks like she deleted from her DeviantArt page….). Lately, she’s been doing more natural animals. Here is her DeviantArt page:

Horrible, awful, washed out photos that do the Windstones in them no justice, and should never, ever, be posted. Yet, I post them as I have no motivation to try to take better ones. :p Missing from these photos are a gold Emperor, Black gold lap, and a red fox pebble which I got after that pebble group shot was taken. Plus a few pieces I have up for sale, so I have them boxed up.

This is starting to take on a belittling tone and it’s a little upsetting. The fact of the matter is that NO ONE knows the “general opinion” of the large buying audience, and to infer that your opinion is the opinion of the majority isn’t right either :/
We are just expressing opinions, and I don’t see why the discussion should take on an air or “right” or “wrong”. Windstone will decide to do what they decide to do. That doesn’t mean people shouldn’t express their views within reason.
Except you choose to quote only part of my post. The truth is, that many members request grab bag preview photos whenever Melody mentions she is working on a new batch. I’m not sure if I have personally requested some myself (maybe, maybe not, been a lot of batches), but I see them posted all the time. But you are right, no way to truly know majority. Not even a poll would help as that would exclude a huge buying population who don’t peruse the forums. But enough would miss them, when all it takes is others ignoring them. Just like if you are excited for a new movie coming out and want to go in without any spoilers. You avoid its trailer; you don’t expect trailers to be banished.
As for “upsetting or belittling”, not my intent, however, one thing I know that will come with grab bags: Drama. Like Death and Taxes.
Why can’t we get some relief from this snow!!!!! Gah, I’m not a doom and gloom person; I don’t tend to feel “hopeless” in situations. Yet, those thoughts are starting to creep in. I just spent the last three days shoveling. More snow predicted for Thursday, then Sunday. We have NO place to put it anymore. Banks are too tall. The MBTA shut down. My windows on the first floor are half covered in snow it is so high. For a month now we’ve been hit again and again with storms and it hasn’t warmed up enough to melt any of it. I’m going to dance around singing “Happy Happy Joy Joy” and think happy thoughts. Maybe look at some cat memes 😀
I don’t think Windstone needs to stop the preview photos because they build “buzz” & excitement about the upcoming releases. As long as they don’t include held back Ebay pieces in the class photos, I think that might solve the confusion issue.
After all, if we’ve seen preview photos & don’t see it in the class photo, then we know to expect it on Ebay, if we wish to bid for it there.
I agree. If some people don’t want to get “teased”, then they just don’t have to look at the preview photos. The reason Melody posted them to begin with was because there were a significant amount of forum members begging for them each time she mentioned working on a new grab bag batch.
