I am very sorry for your loss. Sending warm and comforting thoughts to you at this time.
Congratulations, Jennifer! I am so happy for you  !!!! I know you’ve been trying to win this for some time and it has finally happened. I hope this means a very positive turn in events in your life! Just happy, happy for you!
I’m in San Jose–down in the South Bay, but I didn’t feel anything. I have two of my birds in my bedroom and woke up to them flapping about. I got up and noticed that the birds in the other rooms were flapping as well. I calmed everyone down and went back to bed. My neighbor called me and asked if I felt anything because she did–she lives next door. So I didn’t feel anything, but the area did shake. Did not see any damage or anything like that.
OMG Jennifer! I am so sorry that all this is happening to you. Seems like nothing is letting up–one bad thing after another. This year has taken it’s best shots with me and I’m afraid it’s not over yet. Very sorry about the dog–sounds like the same thing that happened to my sister’s dog earlier this year–only her dog passed in her sleep, but it was cancer.
Everyone who has lost pets, have issues with neighbors and all around crappy things happening to them, I hope things will get better for all. It does help to vent on here–we all can relate.
This would be interesting. When Anne McCaffrey was alive, she was uncomfortable about anyone messing with her novels–writing them or making movies–because she felt they didn’t get it right. I read one comment of hers when she was looking at a script for a movie and shook her head because it wasn’t what she felt it should be–they didn’t get it right. Making movies from books is always tricky–you can never accurately depict the book exactly how the author intended.
It would make several movies and I would watch them. And whether or not they happen may depend on her children.

I am so sorry for your loss. You were able to hold him in your arms as he slipped away–the last thing he remembered was your loving touch and words. It is a small comfort to you and very, very painful but you were able to give him that last gift. I’ve lost beloved fur babies as well and it is never easy. I still think of them even though some of them have been gone for many years. I do hope that there is a rainbow bridge that they cross and where they’re waiting for us to join them. My deepest condolences go to you.
I am so sorry for your loss. I can relate to losing a beloved fur baby–it is never easy.
Have to say that there were many great paint jobs on this swap! Enjoyed every one of them.
Cute–wonder how many idiots would actually do the things in that video–you know, nothing better to do but die dumb?
Woo Hoo! Congratulations! Hope all works out well for you–sounds like it.
OMG! Got mine this morning from Laundry2011 and I must say–she really out did herself. I just wanted something that would remind me of the beach by the ocean and she did just that. The detail on this keeper is amazing. The camera just cannot pick them all up–but there are jewels, moss and a thick layer of clear paint in some areas to give a certain effect. The keeper has special eyes–reminds me of a sunset and is holding a turtle. Also, I got beach stickers and a random drawing from 96037. WOW! :O Thank you, Laundry2011 and 96037. You made my day. I just love her–for some reason I feel this keeper is a ‘she’. Here she is in all her glory as best as my camera could capture her.
Thank you again! I love her!!!
I got mine, already! Lady Firebird painted me a gorgeous keeper named “Flaming Heart”. He holds a flaming heart in his claw and is painted in green, blues, and a coppery red. I don’t know where she got his eyes, but they are a metallic color that looks particularly magnificent with his colors. Thank you! Hrm… trying to post from my phone, and it’s not working. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3I6JcDChvVE/U6IujIPt0dI/AAAAAAAAEDg/OcIC9-YYhXU/s1600/20140618_191441.jpg
