I love the pebble foxes, but have you ever considered doing larger foxes? Maybe foxes with wings? Flap foxes? There are so many color morphs of the red fox alone, it could be fun – maybe even grab bag material. 😉
Apart from that, I’d love to see an empress sculpt and your dragons in icy blue colors.
Welcome, friend! <3
As you know, I haven't been here long, but this is probably the most friendly and helpful forum I have been on in a LONG time. The people here are really fantastic. I've gotten some good buying advice and had some excellent transactions. 😀 I hope you enjoy your time here!
The matching male is on ebay now – same seller. 🙂
The seller actually messaged me to let me know — augh, I’m torn since I’m watching something else on EBay right now, too, but I feel like they NEED to be together!
Very nice! Aren’t poads cute? I started with a young one and now have 6 of them and 6 adult ones plus 4 tadpoads. Your leaf poad looks like it has more green on it than the one I have. Is it about the same shade as the eyes or does it just look dark in the picture? I ask cause the green on my leaf one is fairly light coloured.
Thanks! And yes, poads ARE cute. I’ve got another adult poad coming and a tadpoad so I’ll have three, but I feel like there needs to be many, many more.
I just looked at her and the green is close to the same color of her eyes — I think it looks darker because the lighting in my room isn’t that great — I’d like to get some pictures of her in natural lighting, but the weather isn’t too great right now. 😉
Your new Red Fire mother is really pretty Kitsunesprinkles! 😀
Thank you! 😀
Guh, those pictures of all of the damaged Windstones were heartbreaking. I’m glad there are people here who know how to fix such things, but I can’t imagine how horrifying it must have been to hear the noise and then see the mess.
On a brighter note, my ruby lap dragon from Bodine came home today!
Surprisingly, she did not come alone: Bodine sent along a FUZZY and four beautiful geode slices, which now reside close to her.
I am so happy to finally have a lap dragon after admiring them for over a decade from a shop’s display case.
Something else came in the mail today…
I’ve been trying to resist these since coming to the forums, but POADS… might be a new addiction for me. Seriously, I want a tiny army of them (amongst other wonderful Windstone things.) I was initially impressed by the size of the adult poad — I always have a difficult time imagining how big something is even when the measurements are given.
The snow fire griffin is beautiful. I’ve been watching her on EBay, though she’ll probably end out of my price range. Doesn’t mean I won’t try, though. 😉 Will a whole family be made in this color scheme?
Such a pretty little family! I’ve got one adult on the way, but I definitely feel like I need a clutter of my own. 😉
I can’t get enough of these poads – they’re all so different and beautiful!
Hopefully I’ll be able to snag one in the next grab bag batch if they do one.
April 2nd, 1984 – Aries and year of the Rat. 🙂
Question – is a new raffle announced each month, or do we just send our entry in even if there’s no announcement?
Thanks for the feedback on the shelving. It looks like the max on each shelf is 22 pounds, so I’ll be careful.
Those are some gorgeous flap cats. I keep telling myself I’ll only focus on dragons, but then I started looking at griffins last week, and now flap cats have me curious.
Welcome! You have an adorable icon pic!!
Thank you! It’s a marble fox. Love your work – you’ve been an inspiration to me as a child for working on my own art.
Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone. 🙂 Seriously, everyone has been incredibly helpful and friendly and I’m glad to be here.
My first recent adoption arrived yesterday:
I’m always so surprised at the weight of Windstones when I first pick them up — I’ve never owned a big one, either until now.
She sat on the kitchen table near me while I was doing homework for organic chemistry yesterday. 😉
Here is where she will live. I decided to name her Alexstrasza, after my favorite World of Warcraft character (who is, of course, a red dragon), though I will write my own “story” for how she came into being. I put Daenerys next to her since I found it appropriate for at least ONE photo, though once my other dragons and things arrive she probably won’t fit there.
The seller also included her CoA which as some of you suggested, might have a drawing from Melody on it:
I was elated by the drawing and will probably be framing it or something — it was a bonus I was really happy to see.
My bookshelf is from Ikea and is not solid wood. It seems pretty sturdy, but I am wondering how many Windstones it would be safe to have on that shelf. I’ve noticed some of you have glass display cases for your Windstones, but all I have available right now to me is bookshelves. Any thoughts on weight limits? I don’t remember if the instructions mentioned anything about that when we put it together last year.
(Also, sorry if any of my images are too big – I don’t think I saw image limit rules anywhere, but if I overlooked them just let me know and I’ll shrink some of them!)
Thanks for your help, everyone.
I won the auction and will now patiently await for her to come home. 🙂
