No biggie! I wouldn’t sell mine either, unless I had duplicates 🙂 I take all my tags off mine to make sure that I don’t sell them…
I am glad you are keeping them….if you ever want to sell them, they will get good adoptive homes from the forum…..
You may even get visitation rights if you ever have to sell…..heheheh
Hope things get better for you!
Ohh Where ohhh where has my little Poad gone?
Actually mine is due in any day now….
My prayers and thoughts are with you! The most important things are your husband, your baby and yourself. Take care…where a door closes a window always opens.
When I feel bad like this, I like to watch that scene in the “Sound of Music” where she sings “My Favorite Things” It always cheers me up!

I was asked by a forum member about visiting New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I wanted to give everyone who might be interested more information.
First off..it is NOT SAFE to stay in downtown New Orleans or in the Marigny (area behind the French Quarter) if you are traveling by yourself and want to party like a native at Mardi Gras time. New Orleans has its problems and everyone should experience New Orleans and Mardi Gras at least once in their life, but you need to bring a friend.
One good option would be to stay in the New Orleans area (suburbs) and get a hotel and a rental car in Metarie or Kenner. You could even take a cab to the French Quarter. The airport is in Kenner.
Another option is one of the high priced hotels like the Royal Sonesta or the Windsor Court in the French Quarter.
The best option is to stay in Houma, Louisiana and enjoy a safe and friendly Mardis Gras. We aren’t as wild or nasty, but it is safe and really a great time.
My husband works for a car dealer right on the parade route and if anyone wanted to stay in Houma, they could attend the parade with us. We have nice hotels, very little crime and we are about 1 hour from New Orleans, so you could still take a rental car and spend a day at Mardi Gras in the French Quarter.
I don’t want to scare anyone away from New Orleans, but you do need to talk to a native about where the crime areas are…quite a few people have been acosted in the areas around the French Quarter…the cops even beat the crap out of someone last year on Bourbon….and the Razzou’s bouncers were involved in a death a few years ago.
My email is eschete344@bellsouth.net and please feel free to email or PM me if you are interested. I would be happy to outline the safer places to go and some great restaurants.
I just spent all day Saturday in downtown New Orleans and in the French Quarter on Bourbon Street, but I had a friend with me and we parked in a safe area and walked in.
Hope this helps…Kaya
Ohh and here is website
These “Dealers” make me a bit nervous….will he really ship these right? Has anyone asked?
Also, he has that disclaimer thing the there might be damage…..
Hmmmmm, I don’t know if I will take a chance on this….
August 21, 2007 at 12:34 am in reply to: Anyone want to work an eBay deal on that Pea hatch LOT of 2 #609519Well, I have Kids if you count the 10 dogs, 4 cats, 5 sugar gliders amd 2 hedgehogs….everything but the hedgehogs is rescued 🙂
And I have the husband and the Windstones…so I do have “kids”….
Hehehehe…Kaya
I just bought two castles from the same store and they were prompt and communicated very well. They did have to order my castles and get them in and then they sent them on to me.
So I guess it took about 10 days total or so…but they were very nice and helpful!
August 20, 2007 at 1:40 pm in reply to: Anyone want to work an eBay deal on that Pea hatch LOT of 2 #609514Come on now Phoenix Tears….plenty of people on here have snipped me 🙂 I certainly don’t win everything I bid on 🙂
I wasn’t trying to scare you off! I actually enjoy a good bidding war 🙂
I bought a new small corner curio for my breakfast room…so I can put all my curlies and fledgies, so I have some room now to get the rest of the royal hatchers….
I am sorry, didn’t see you had one for sale 🙂 Otherwise I would have offered for him. 🙂 Ohh and I am not an actress, I wish. I am actually in the medical field 🙂 and my husband sells cars…no kids 🙂

I need a Peacock Emperor, so you will be bidding against me. The last set went for $300….
I may have an Empress for sale soon…sorry, but I gotta have him!
Everyone seems to have an Empress….unfortunately.

Since my husband and I moved to coastal Georgia though we have been very fortunate not to have a hurricane go through our area. The one time I did travel “inland” to get out of the path of a hurricane it ended up following me. After that I decided unless there was a mandatory evacuation for my area I wasn’t going anywhere.
If we get another Katrina we are leaving…it was scary…at least 100 mph plus where I was..
But I have 10 small dogs, 4 cats, 5 sugar gliders and 2 hedgehogs. We also have 6 cars…so we would have to crate everyone, put them in the truck, put the Vette on the trailer and I would drive seperate in the Viper….What a nightmare, but I do have crates for everyone….
Even though we have insurance, I couldn’t leave anyone behind except the older cars…the Windstones would have to stay, except maybe the BEP OW…
August 20, 2007 at 2:38 am in reply to: Non Windstone Sale…Boyds, Willow Tree and more + PICS #608629I’ll take that last picture of the Griffin family 🙂 Hehe just joking, your siggie pic looks like one of your items for sale 🙂
mmloda,
Didn’t you just also get the Black Griffin for like a super Buy it Now price? The one with the gargoyle eggs?
Congrats on that also!
Well…it is that time of year again and since NOTHING is on TV, we have been sitting here watching the Weather Channel.
I live 60 miles Southwest of New Orleans and we had Katrina and Rita in 2005 and nothing last year….but this year looks like it is going to be nice and hot in the Gulf of Mexico.
I have so many pets, we stayed for Katrina and Rita..Katrina was scary but we had only roof and fence damage. I spent several weeks after Katrina volunteering at the shelter…it was unspeakable..we were the closest town that had facilities to house the people the Coast Guard pulled off of roofs.
I am a little worried about Dean….all the meteorologist take educated guesses every year and many times they are close and many times they are not!
If the high pressure system sitting over us slides a bit to the east…then thi monster could turn and head straight for Louisiana and Mississippi..
Ivan followed a similar path in 2004….a bit scary..
Just rambling..probably “Weather Channel Overload Syndrome”
I sent them both to John…
I sent all the listing I saw….they are Obvious Windstones and they both have some that look an awful lot like Windstones, but not quite as close…
